New technology is being used in a building in Mexico City that transforms pollutants into harmless chemicals.
The structure is made out of titanium dioxide, which its designers claim produces water and carbon dioxide from the city's smog.

If accurate, this has the potential to be huge.

It would be huge, particularly in Mexico City, which is a horrendous pollution trap since it sits in the bottom of a bowl formed by a long-extinct volcano. I recall driving out of Mexico City one time, looking back and seeing a clear line of demarcation, with dark grey pollution below, and clear blue sky above.
