You are delusional if you think Bezos is paying 40% in taxes .  Btw I am not envious of the super rich. I am very wealthy myself. Not a billionaire but near the top.
Nice language btw. I can tell I am winning the argument

:silly:

No, actually, you’re not.  You’re simply delusional and, as Lenin himself put it, a “useful idiot”.

Estela Gamino watched over her children as they bounced around their gray couches inside their apartment on Chicago’s North Side.

“He just joined sports. My other daughter, she stays for…band,” Gamino said, not long after picking them up from after-school programs.

Gamino remembers not being able to participate in these programs as a child. Her mother was always working while navigating life in the United States.

“Since I had kids, I always thought: “Well, I’m gonna try to be really involved,” the 33-year-old said.

It's great to see a loyal bunch of Americans in Taxachusettes stick it to those damn veterans who gave years of their lives to defend the nation in favor of the law breaking, welfare loafing, ungrateful people who criticize and hate America.  It's about time states showed the world what America is really like. :#@$%:

Title IX is part of a federal law, passed by Congress, is that not correct?

If so, then...
... how can a diktat from the administration "redefine" an existing law?
The way the BATFE has redefined a machine gun as any part unique to the function thereof.
Or maybe like how the EPA defined Carbon Dioxide as a pollutant.
Let them get away with this stuff once they use it everywhere.

Separation of powers has been severely screwed with.

Massachusetts Kills Plan to Prioritize Homeless Veterans Over Migrants
Published Apr 29, 2024 at 11:37 AM EDT

All but two Massachusetts House Democrats voted against an amendment to provide statewide shelter priority to U.S. military veterans over migrants.

On Friday, all 25 Massachusetts state House Republicans were joined by two others across the aisle in voting for Amendment 698 as part of House Bill 4600. The amendment introduced by Republican Minority Leader Bradley Jones, titled "Homeless Veterans Prioritization for Shelter Assistance," failed on a 27-129 roll call vote.

"It's extremely disappointing that most Democrats were unwilling to support an amendment to prioritize eligibility for the state's emergency housing assistance program for honorably discharged homeless veterans," Jones told Newsweek via email on Monday.

The vote occurred one day after a supplemental budget was sent to Democratic Gov. Maura Healey, who in October said that her state lacks the space, services and funding to safely expand beyond providing shelter for 7,500 families—of which that quota was nearly reached prior to Halloween amid a migrant surge to the Bay State. Massachusetts is spending about $75 million each month on state-run shelters, according to The Boston Globe, after Healey declared a state of emergency last summer.

Chinese Aircraft Carrier Fujian Prepares For First Sea Trial (Updated)

First sea trial for Chinese supercarrier comes after over six years of construction and fitting out work in Jiangnan. Fujian may enter service with the Chinese Navy by 2026.

Alex Luck  29 Apr 2024

Update: Against initial reporting in this article Fujian currently remains stationary in the Yangtze River Delta off her original berth. The rationale for this remains speculative and the beginning of a proper trial therefore is to be confirmed. This article will be updated with further information as it becomes available.

Fujian today, April 29, vacated her moorings at Jiangnan on Changxing Island in the Yangtze River Delta under her own power, as evidenced from social media imagery. The anticipated first sea trial represents a significant milestone on getting China’s first supercarrier equipped with electromagnetic catapults ready for service. The carrier moved out of berth assisted by several tugboats as covered in moving footage circulated on Chinese social media and on “X”, formerly Twitter.

Imagery of Fujian previously showed the carrier testing her engines around April 21. The observation created some anticipation that the ship would sail out on the occasion of the anniversary for the Chinese Navy on April 23. That day historically marks the inception of the East China Military Region Navy, typically shortened to “East China Navy”, as announced by Zhang Aiping in April 1949 during the Chinese Civil War. The Central Military Commission in 1989 officially designated the date and event to mark the founding of PLAN. That date however went by with Fujian remaining at berth, perhaps illustrating that PLAN is more concerned with sticking to technical schedules over symbolic gestures.
