Doesn't the fact he has lived here in the US for two years and hasn't raped, mutilated, bombed, or beheaded anyone, that we know of, automatically qualify him for citizenship? *****rollingeyes*****

Legal Insurrection by William A. Jacobson Saturday, April 27, 2024

University Presidents “have participated in the creation of a monstrous movement on campuses that uses targeting of Jews and Israel as an organizing mechanism”

My interview on The Daily Signal Podcast: “They have participated in the creation of a monstrous movement on campuses that is anti-American, anti-Western, anti-capitalist, and that uses targeting of Jews and Israel as an organizing mechanism…. It is a tear down the statues ideology. It is remove names from buildings ideology. It is a deconstruction of our society. It is very reminiscent to me of a Khmer Rouge in Cambodia sort of ideology, where you go back to Year Zero.”

I appeared Daily Signal Podcast on April 24, 2024, hosted by Virginia Allen. I’ve been on the DS podcast many times, and I appreciate how Virginia makes the guest the spotlight, not the host.

Here’s the segment as written up by the DS, What’s Behind Antisemitic Protests on College Campuses:

Pro-Palestine protests on the campuses of some of America’s most elite colleges have resulted in hundreds of arrests and led Columbia University in New York to move classes online for the remainder of the semester.

The anti-Israel protests at Columbia University, Yale, and New York University aren’t just representative of an “antisemitic movement,” but a “fundamentally an anti-Western and anti-American movement,” Bill Jacobson says.

Jacobson, a Cornell University law professor and the founder of Legal Insurrection and the Equal Protection Project, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain who or what is driving the antisemitism on America’s college campuses.

Jacobson points to the activist organization National Students for Justice in Palestine as the organizing force behind the current protests.

Suspected ISIS member lived in US as migrant for over two years despite global wanted notice

A suspected ISIS member lived in the US for two years despite a global effort to find him.

The 33-year-old Uzbek man, Jovokhir Attoev was recently arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Baltimore due to alleged links with ISIS, according to two US officials. Attoev crossed the border into Arizona and was apprehended by Border Patrol in February 2022, but at the time, neither Customs and Border Protection nor ICE could find any untoward information on him. He was subsequently released inside the US on bond.

However, in May 2023, Uzbekistan issued an international notice stating that Attoev was wanted in his home country for his alleged affiliation with ISIS. It wasn't until March 2024, almost a year later, when the US government was reviewing Attoev's application for asylum, that officials discovered the notice from Uzbekistan and connected it with the man residing in Maryland.

Following this discovery, ICE arrested Attoev on April 17 in Baltimore. According to the ICE website, he is currently in custody in Pennsylvania and is awaiting trial in an immigration court next week in New Jersey.

Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems and one of the first whistleblowers to allege Spirit leadership had ignored manufacturing defects on the 737 MAX, died Tuesday morning after a struggle with a sudden, fast-spreading infection.

Known as Josh, Dean lived in Wichita, Kan., where Spirit is based. He was 45, had been in good health and was noted for having a healthy lifestyle.

He died after two weeks in critical condition, his aunt Carol Parsons said.

Spirit spokesperson Joe Buccino said: “Our thoughts are with Josh Dean’s family. This sudden loss is stunning news here and for his loved ones.”

Dean had given a deposition in a Spirit shareholder lawsuit and also filed a complaint with the Federal Aviation Administration alleging “serious and gross misconduct by senior quality management of the 737 production line” at Spirit. ...
