NJ’s ban on immigrant detention centers challenged in fiery lawsuit as $100M contract hangs in balance
By Social Links forSteve Janoski

A Florida company that wants to open a new immigrant detention center in Newark is suing to overturn New Jersey’s ban on the facilities — claiming the policy violates the Constitution.

The GEO Group said in its lawsuit that the state ban is torpedoing its plans for Delaney Hall, a privately-run, 1,196-bed facility that has variously held county, state and federal detainees over the last 25 years.

That could cost GEO a lot of money — namely, a contract with US Immigration and Customs and Enforcement worth more than $100 million, the lawsuit said.

Your BIL is saying what he needs to say to keep his job and keep those defense dept dollars flowing.  But what he says about EVs being superior to diesel is complete bullshit.  How far can an M1 go on batteries?  And how do you charge it 30 miles into enemy territory with no power lines in sight?  A fuel truck can make it there in an hour.  Repairing power lines and bringing in a charging platform would take weeks.  Not only that, every electric vehicle in an entire battle zone can be taken out with one EMP device.

If your BIL is really saying this, then he should be ashamed of himself for wasting US taxpayer dollars on such a poorly thought out policy.  Why not start out with the Air Force first to see how viable electric planes and helicopters work out.

I never said tanks or at least should have been more specific. I am talking about support vehicles and such and very light armor vehicles such as humvees.

1. EV's give off no or minimal sound, no or very little heat signature like a diesel.
2. In Gulf War 1 each soldier had the equivalant of 45 lbs of electronic gear. Currently each soldier has the equivalent of 2000 lbs of electronic gear.  EV's can supply this electric need w/o having to bring up generators and such
3. Battery range is going up every year.  Toyota said in a presss release their 2026 ev's will have a 600 mile range.
4. As I mentioned before the military is working on batteries that can be changed out in the field due to damage or recharging with no tools in two minutes in less.
5. Every single military contractors from every country at the Qatar show had military ev;s including China in their lineup.
6. You said every ev military vehicle can be taken out with an emp. How do you know this?  You are speaking out of your arse.

You know jack crap what they are working on, what their capabilities are  but yet you are an armchair general. What I posted above is the minimal info my bil would give me. You are another person who hates ev's because conservatives have been told to hate ev's.

Biden shares what he says were Beau’s ‘last words’ while telling Howard Stern a lot of whoppers
April 28, 2024 | Melissa Fine

In a move presumably made to reach voters and prove he can hold his end of a live conversation, President Biden sat down in the remarkably safe space of “drooling” shock-jock Howard Stern and lied his butt off — repeatedly.

Reporter Greg Price kept track of the whoppers on X.

“On Howard Stern’s show today, Biden claimed… He saved 6 people from drowning as a lifeguard (Lie); He received ‘salacious pictures’ from women in the 70s that he handed to Secret Service (Definitely a lie and senators don’t have secret service protection); That he was arrested as a kid while standing with a black family on their porch as people were protesting desegregation. (Lie); That he was ‘runner-up in state scoring’ in football. (Lie),” Price wrote.

excerpt:

Quote
On Stern, Biden’s deceased son Beau was once again invoked for emotional effect as the president shared what he claimed was his son’s last words.

“He said, ‘Look at me, dad. Promise me, dad. Promise me, dad that you’ll not leave public life. I know when I go, you’ll want to quit. You’ll want to quit,'” the president said after a dramatic pause. “And he looked at me and said, ‘Give me your word as a Biden. Give me your word.'”

“I gave him my word on the health of my family. And he said, ‘Promise me dad, you won’t step back.’ And I made the promise,” Biden continued. “Before he passed away — I shouldn’t — Last thing he said before he passed away — I mean we were in the hospital, Hunt and I with him, lying in the hospital bed. He looked and he said, ‘I’m not scared, dad, It’s Ok. I’m not scared, it’s Ok.'”

RFK Jr. challenges Trump to debate after 'Democrat plant' accusation
Kennedy Jr. calls Trump's comments a 'barely coherent' rant, saying 'frightened men take to social media'
By Danielle Wallace Fox News
Published April 28, 2024 7:14am EDT

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responded to former President Trump's allegations he is a "Democrat plant" and would be a "wasted protest vote," challenging the presumptive Republican presidential nominee to a debate.

"When frightened men take to social media they risk descending into vitriol, which makes them sound unhinged," Kennedy wrote in an X post on Saturday afternoon. "President Trump's rant against me is a barely coherent barrage of wild and inaccurate claims that should best be resolved in the American tradition of presidential debate. President Trump, who has proven himself the most adept debater in modern American political history, should not be panicked to meet me on that stage."

RFK Jr. said he will prove Trump "betrayed the hopes of his most sincere followers," arguing the former president "promised to end the Ukraine war and then colluded with Speaker Johnson and President Biden to fund it." Kennedy Jr. also said Trump "let Big Pharma and his corrupt bureaucrats run roughshod over him as President," and "promised to cut the deficit and ran up the biggest debt in history."

"He promised to run the government like a business and then closed down our businesses. He promised to drain the swamp and then filled his administration with swamp creatures," RFK Jr. said. "He promised to protect our rights and then torpedoed the Constitution."

MS-13 gang member killing: Girl's mother testifies on illegal immigration
25,431 views May 23, 2023

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, in an interim report to be published Tuesday, are faulting the Biden administration’s "failure to enforce U.S. immigration law" for the release into the U.S. of a 16-year-old illegal immigrant and suspected MS-13 gang member, who is now charged with the murder and sexual assault of a 20-year-old autistic woman in Maryland.

"A tragic example of the failure to enforce U.S. immigration law under Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas’ watch is the murder and sexual assault of 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton in Aberdeen, Maryland in July 2022," the interim report, a copy of which was obtained by Fox News Digital says.

Illegal immigration is costing American hospitals billions of dollars in unpaid medical bills

04/26/2024 // Lance D Johnson // 870 Views

One of the most overlooked financial burdens on the American medical system is the unpaid medical bills coming directly from illegal immigrants. Illegal border crossings surpassed 3.2 million in 2023 -- a record high.According to Customs and Border Protection data, apprehensions of illegal aliens have nearly tripled since 2019. These illegal aliens are people who oftentimes have serious medical needs, but have little to no financial resources. Illegal immigration burdens state Medicaid programs and uses up charities at an unsustainable pace.
Illegal immigration adds billions of dollars in unpaid medical bills to a medical system that’s already falling apart

Every year, tens of thousands of illegal immigrants flood U.S. hospitals, looking for treatment for infectious diseases, chronic diseases and disabilities. In fact, American hospitals as a whole are losing multiple billions of dollars annually because of unpaid medical bills coming directly from illegal immigrants. These unpaid medical bills drive up the overall cost of healthcare – a cost that ultimately gets passed on to Americans, who can barely afford healthcare as it is.
According to a new report from the House Committee on Homeland Security, the United States spends $451 billion annually due to the invasion at the U.S. border. The report finds that a significant portion of these annual costs are due to unpaid healthcare for illegal immigrants.
