New report: 54% of migrants who have arrived since 2022 do not have jobs
By Olivia Murray

So much for the “boosting the economy” schtick.

Yesterday, the Center for Immigration Studies published the findings of a new report on the “largest two-year increase ever recorded” for the foreign-born population of people living in the United States—between March 2022 and March 2024, that number jumped by 5.1 million people.

And, of those 5.1 million people, more than half (54%) are not paying their own way; this works out to be around 2,754,000 million people. The CIS stresses that those numbers include both legal and illegal persons, and while legality is certainly a concern, it’s not a justification for bringing in third world hoodlums from all the dark corners of the world with zero intention to assimilate to and augment the American way of life—immigration should be extremely limited and totally merit-based, or not at all.

Now, how many of those people are adults, who should be working but aren’t (this does not include the illegals who have no right to take an American job) and have children or other dependents? Probably a large majority, which just means that 2.754 million number is amplified—because who’s feeding them, housing them, paying for their healthcare, funding the emergency services that they disproportionately use, paying for their public school use, and offsetting the impact of the deficit-spending through taxes?

WE are.

The Biden Anti-American Legacy
By Allan J. Feifer

Never before has an American president been so physically unstable that he needs an accompanying entourage wherever he walks. That shakiness is a visual metaphor of Biden’s presidency. He represents a departure from previous presidents in being the only president who leaves voters doubting whether he is actually in charge and wondering why a frail 81-year-old, broadly despised man is being pushed to run again, even as most don’t believe he’s capable of completing that term if elected.

Biden came in as the anti-Trump antidote who was supposed to unify us and bring the adults back into the room. Biden faces an international and domestic dumpster fire as he flip-flops from issue to issue. Here are just the top four issues that are likely to determine the election:

1.    Biden has been weaponizing abortion, promising “he would reverse the Trump-era actions that transformed abortion rights in America and made Roe v. Wade protections the law of the land.” Except that the Dobbs decision, which saw the Supreme Court return the abortion matter to the states, means he can’t keep that promise. Promising something he can’t deliver on is what Biden does best.

Speaker Mike Johnson will address 'sham prosecution' of Trump outside courthouse, days after surviving MTG's ouster attempt

House Speaker Mike Johnson's move to join Trump's court entourage is an extraordinary move for the man who is third in line for the presidency, and is another sign of the total embrace Trump is getting from congressional Republicans.

It comes days after days after the House rejected an effort by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to remove Johnson from office through a procedural motion.

Trump sided with the speaker in the spat, meeting with Johnson and posting in advance that 'this is not the time' to move to vacate the chair, as Greene was proposing.

The Speaker's office left no doubt which side he is on.

'The Speaker will then address media outside of the ongoing sham prosecution of President Trump,' his office announced.

'Speaker Johnson will address the political persecution of the 45th President of the United States by President Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice and the left-wing Manhattan district attorney.'

The new Mar-a-Lago: Republicans show Trump loyalty with pilgrimage to NYC trial

By David Sivak
May 14, 2024 7:00 am

For almost a decade, Mar-a-Lago has been the destination for Republicans aligning themselves with former President Donald Trump.

From House speakers to congressional candidates, politicians have made the pilgrimage with the goal of currying favor with the man who will lead the party for a third presidential cycle in a row.

But with Trump stuck in New York City for his hush money trial, Republicans have found a new place to flock: the courtroom where the former president, charged with falsifying business records, will be cooped up for the next several weeks.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who led a lawsuit challenging the 2020 election results, appeared there two weeks ago, closer to the start of his trial, while Trump has been joined by congressional allies from Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) to Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) over the last few days.

On Tuesday, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will visit the courthouse, as will former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump accuses judge of 'MAKING BIG MONEY OFF OF THIS SCAM' in early morning post
By David Spector

Former President Donald Trump accused Judge Juan Merchan of being "TOTALLY CORRUPT" in an early morning rant on his Truth Social account.

"Judge Merchan is TOTALLY COMPROMISED, CONFLICTED, AND CORRUPT," Trump said.

The former president went on to accuse the judge in his "hush money" trial of "MAKING BIG MONEY OFF OF THIS SCAM AND ITS OUTCOME."

Trump has been fined numerous times for violating the judge's gag order and Merchan has even threatened him with jail time.

AG Merrick Garland now faces TWO contempt of Congress charges for failing to hand over audio of Biden's special counsel interview in which he appeared 'elderly' with a 'poor memory'

DAILYMAIL.COM
By MORGAN PHILLIPS
13 May 2024

A pair of Republican-led House committees will advance resolutions to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress on Thursday, DailyMail.com has learned.

The Oversight Committee and the Judiciary Committee will hold dual markups of their contempt resolutions this week.

Both Oversight Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan issued subpoenas to Garland for the audio of ex-special counsel Robert Hur's interview with Biden. They say Garland refused to comply with either subpoena, so both committees will move to hold him in contempt.
