Trump rips ruling to deny mistrial a 'disgrace,' claims he is 'being held in this court with a corrupt judge'

Donald Trump ripped Judge Juan Merchan as "corrupt" while ripping his ruling to deny a mistrial in his 'hush money' case as a "disgrace" in fiery comments as he left court on Thursday.

"This judge is corrupt, he's a corrupt judge," Trump said. "This judge, what he did, and what his ruling was is a disgrace."

Judge Merchan ruled just moments prior that the former president's attorneys opened the door to “corroborate” Stormy Daniels' account of the tryst after they called her a liar in their opening statement and at other points in the trial.

Trump sat through extensive testimony by Daniels on Thursday that included her claiming that he did not wear a condom during their sexual encounter and her spanking him – which led to his attorneys requesting a mistrial.

"I have to get back on the campaign trail, I'm not supposed to be here," Trump said. "We are so innocent, there's never been anything like this."

MAUREEN CALLAHAN: It's Royal revenge! Harry snubbed, alone and utterly irrelevant… and our Discount Duchess Meghan seemingly less popular than Lauren Sanchez

By Maureen Callahan For DailyMail.Com

Published: 15:37 EDT, 9 May 2024 | Updated: 17:07 EDT, 9 May 2024

Having borne the vilest of slurs, insults, accusations and betrayals out of Camp Montecito with dignified silence — for years now — it seems they have served up, with quiet elegance, the dish best served cold.

The chill is felt Stateside, trust.

The prodigal Prince Harry, meant to take his victory lap in London as his Invictus Games reach the ten-year mark, entered St. Paul's alone while his father and brother held events mere miles away.

The royals, it was announced, would not be seeing Harry this trip. Nor would he be welcome to stay in any of the many palaces, castles or cottages in the King's portfolio.

No: King Charles, currently battling cancer, was too 'busy' to carve out even a few moments for his son, instead hosting a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

Of the 30,000 guests invited to that event, Harry did not make the list.

Charles, however, did find time to announce, within hours of Harry landing in London on Monday, that Prince William would be named Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps — Harry's former regiment, and a role long assumed for him.

As for William: He, of course, also didn't see Harry this week, instead hosting an investiture in Windsor the morning of Harry's Invictus celebration.

He appears to have made clear his feelings toward Harry, but the stakes are now truly high: Kate Middleton is undergoing chemotherapy for her cancer. The idea that Harry — and, by default, Meghan — could be ever trusted with any information about her or Charles's health is laughable.

Don't forget: After Harry made that whirlwind trip to see Charles after his diagnosis was announced in February — granted an audience of less than 30 minutes for over 22 hours in the air — he turned around and gave an interview to ABC News.

Did he go into specifics about Charles's diagnosis or treatment? No, but probably because Harry is privy to nothing.

President Joe Biden on Wednesday predicted Donald Trump won't accept the 2024 election results and revealed the advice Barack Obama gave him when it comes to winning the contest.

In an interview with CNN that was conducted in the battleground state of Wisconsin, Biden also explained why he thinks the polls are wrong and warned Israel he would withhold U.S. weapons if it invades Rafah.

He also conceded he is watching the coverage of Trump's hush money trial in New  York - which included shocking testimony from porn star Stormy Daniels - and even had kind words for his Republican rival who remains stuck in a New York court room.

It was a rare sitdown interview for the president with a major news outlet. He has mostly spoken to friendlier outlets - like the 'Smartless' podcast and radio host Howard Stern.

We've recently started watching reruns of "Frasier" at night on COZI TV (we get it via dish). Some of those episodes are hilarious and very clever.

I have really enjoyed the "Frasier" reruns. What surprised me was that Grammar was almost the straight man in those episodes setting up the Dad and brother for the funny lines. I haven't seen the new Frazier since it's a streaming event.

In fact, as of last week, my Dish remote is dead (new one on the way) so all I can watch is channel 4 (local Fox). It reminds me of how useless today's programming is.

I've decided I'm gonna watch a Trump Cult Movie (TCM) for the umpteenth time this afternoon:

What a fabulous choice!

Judge rips Trump attorney for lack of objections during condom testimony: 'I don't understand'
By Kyle Schnitzer

Justice Juan Merchan said he has no idea why Trump attorney Susan Necheles didn't object during Stormy Daniels' testimony about Donald Trump not using a condom during their alleged sex affair.

“I agree – it shouldn’t have come out… but for the life of me, I don’t know why Ms. Necheles didn’t object," the judge said.

He later added, “Why on earth she wouldn’t object to the mention of a condom, I don’t understand.”

Judge denies Trump's bid for mistrial, says Don's lawyers opened the door to salacious testimony

Trump's bid for a mistrial over Stormy Daniels' salacious testimony was denied.

Judge Merchan ruled that Trump's attorneys had opened the door to "corroborate" her account of the tryst after they called her a liar in their opening statement and at other points in the trial.

"Your denial puts the jury in a position of having to choose who to believe in, Donald Trump who denies the encounter, or Stormy Daniels" who claims that it happened, the judge said.

Trump then stood up and left the room. The trial will resume at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Trump flicks Blanche, appears agitated as prosecutors rip defense for not asking more about Stormy sexual encounter
By Kyle Schnitzer

An agitated Donald Trump flicked attorney Todd Blanche as Manhattan prosecutor Joshua Steinglass ripped into the defense for not asking more about the alleged sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels during their cross-examination.

Blanche appeared to motion to Trump to control himself after flicking his left elbow after Trump had a lively conversation with Emil Bove, another attorney.

Steinglass said Trump's side asked "eight questions" of mostly "yes and no" responses when pressing Daniels.

“We tried very hard to pull back the testimony and not have a fulsome description of the sexual act," Steinglass said.

My problem with the Westerns...every movie since the 50's...nobody ever shoots the horses, the easiest way to put the attacker on the defense.    happy77

I dunno...I see lots of the more modern westerns where the horses are fake shot. True Grit.
