I'd have thought better of The Washington Examiner than to adopt the left's language of "fake electors".

Hawaii in the 1960 election provided a precedent for having an alternate slate of electors if the outcome of a state was in doubt.  No one held the Nixon slate of Hawaii electors was "fake" or had violated any laws.  So long as there were live legal challenges (too bad Trump's people idiotically pressed claims of ordinary election fraud, rather than the elections not being held as prescribed by the state legislatures as Constitutionally required as the basis for those challenges, but challenges there were), having an alternate slate of electors was an appropriate action, and serving on one did not constitute fraud.

Were those electors approved by the legislature en-toto? No.
That is where the authority of electors resides.

LOL~  I've never heard a single one of her songs.  Wouldn't be able to pick out her voice in a multiple choice.   happy77

I haven't heard her songs, either, and I have not even heard her speak.  I'm disinterested.

I'm from Pittsburgh. 'Nuff said. They will not get to the World Series in my lifetime. Thankfully, I'm old enough to have seen Clemente, Stargell, et al., in person.
If the Red Sox and Cubs can win in my lifetime... anything is possible.

Best guess, Blacks drugs.... imagine those in house with the one suspect the news is talking about were probable firing too. Been wrong before, but saying some of those suspects were just teens, I am gonna stick to my guesstimate.

Massachusetts state and municipal budgets and finances are about to implode.

The best thing that happened to Massachusetts Republicans in the 1990s was Michael Stanley Dukakis running for President in 1988.

Bill Weld (Republican at the time) was elected Governor in 1990.  For a couple of terms, Massachusetts had a couple of Republican House Reps in DC.

The cost of living in untenable.  Those who can't leave will stage a tax revolt.

Gov. Greg Abbott orders Texas to ignore Biden administration’s new federal protections of LGBTQ+ students

The Texas Tribune by Sneha Dey April 29, 2024

The new Title IX rules expanded the definition of sex-based harassment. Texas is also suing the Biden administration to block the changes.

Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the Texas Education Agency on Monday to ignore a Biden administration rule that expanded federal sex discrimination protections to include LGBTQ+ students.

The Biden administration recently revised the rules for Title IX, the sweeping civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination at federally funded colleges and K-12 schools. The new rules, which are set to go into effect in August, redefined sex discrimination and sex-based harassment to prevent misconduct based on sex stereotypes, pregnancy, gender identity and sexual orientation. It codifies initial guidance documents that prompted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to sue the Biden administration last year.

"Congress wrote Title IX to protect women. Biden, with no authority to do so, rewrote Title IX to protect men who identify as women," Abbott wrote Monday on social media platform X.

Abbott's order came the same day Paxton announced he had sued the Biden administration Monday to block the Title IX changes. Texas joins a growing number of Republican-led states that have berated the new rules, setting the stage for a legal fight over LGBTQ+ student protections. They say the Biden administration misinterpreted the intent of Title IX.

Let's see .... in 4 years DeSantis will be 49 and Trump will be 81. Just sayin'   DeSantis isn't afraid of Trump....DeSantis could have easily turned the tables on Trump due to his age and becoming unhinged, but he's much wiser and smarter than that.

Agree DeSantis isn't afraid of Trump @libertybele  With time he may have gotten away with turning the tables on Trump's age and becoming "unhinged" --- which he did.  Where DeSantis was less than "wise" and pretty damn stupid is he also went after Trump's supporters.  These are the people Ron's afraid of ---- their memories are long and in 2028, Ron will be one of many and most will not have been unemployed for two years.

Ron needs to get right with the millions of "listless vessels" he lost in 2024.  Like it or not, his national viability depends on it.  Ron's also taken quite a bit of heat for being the former candidate not actively campaigning for Trump.  His tepid endorsement just isn't good enough to rebuild for 2028.

Many of Ron's mega donors want a Trump victory in November.  They set this meeting in motion, on behalf of Ron, to strike two birds with one meeting.  It helps Ron move beyond the passive-agressive hole he's stuck in --- and advances a unified effort to elect Trump.

So, take this message to heart:  It is time to unify behind Trump for victory against Biden. Hopefully, DeSantis will, too.
