That's not very many guys to be mounting an invasion with.

Something may be afoot, but "invasion" is probably not it.

Ukraine was looted and disarmed by the previous pro-Putin regime, the one that paid Manafort millions. Ukraine does not have a strong military and no air force or navy worth discussing at all.

Fair enough.  Still, it's basically only two or three divisions.  I could see that sort of force making local incursions, but they couldn't hope to do anything really big.

They want a land bridge to Crimea through Mariupal or maybe to take Kharkiv, heavy industries there, as well.

Ukraine was able to design and build some BTR-4's, many of which were rejected by Iraq for quality issues. Apparently they have no rust-proof paint or something. They look pretty cool though. :p  No way they can build them in sufficient quantity and they'll do nothing against tanks, anti-tank missiles and bombs from aircraft.

Putin's puppets were thrown out, Ukraine can do better than allow itself to be looted and enslaved to Moscow.
