Title: Bill O'Reilly Interviews Obama (VIDEO)
Post by: Gazoo on February 02, 2014, 10:45:21 pm
President Barack Obama sat down with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly before the Super Bowl to discuss the nation's affairs, as has been his annual tradition. Also per his tradition, he did not make a prediction for the game.

O'Reilly started off with one of the biggest national issues of 2013, the botched rollout of the healthcare.gov website. Obama acknowledged the mistakes, but reiterated that nobody could have anticipated this problem and they got 3 million people signed up for health care after fixing some bugs.

The interview quickly went off the rails when O'Reilly grilled Obama on the compound attacks on Benghazi.

The president also fired back at O'Reilly and his network, saying "these kinds of things keep circulating because you and people like you keep saying them on television."

Holy crap. Obama said he called Benghazi a terrorist attack the day after.

We all know that with life in general .....we learn and use communicating skills for interviews/PR.

One trick is to use the persons first name in conversation.

Obama ummmms ahhhhhs beats around the bush and uses the word folks and BILL in a very fake fashion. Obama ooozes of arrogance.

Obama treats BOR and Fox news as the enemy out to get him.

Obama says there was no corruption at the IRS!

Very concerned about President Obama's speech impediment. He kept stuttering, "bill..bill..bill..bill.. during his O'Reilly interview.

Monica Crowley ‏@MonicaCrowley 1h

Is @BarackObama denying that the IRS deliberately targeted Tea Party & conservatives? The IRS admitted it!

During FOX's pregame coverage of Super Bowl XLVIII, Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" anchor Bill O'Reilly interviewed President Barack Obama, which included questions on the rollout of the ObamaCare website, the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and the role of the embattled Internal Revenue Service.

Obama downplayed the scandals and accused Fox News of playing them up.

Obama: Not 'even a smidgen of corruption' behind IRS targeting

By Erik Wasson
President Obama in a pre-Super Bowl interview with Fox News said that there was “not even a smidgen of corruption” behind the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative groups.

“There were some boneheaded decisions,” he said. “Not even mass corruption. Not even a smidgen of corruption.”

Obama said that people are questioning whether the IRS actions were politically motivated attempts to help the Democrats because Fox News is promoting the idea.

“These kind of things keep on surfacing because you and your TV station will promote them,” he said to Bill O'Reilly of such ideas.

He said the IRS treated the conservative groups the way it did because of confusion over how to apply the law on social welfare groups

“What happened here is you have a 501c4 law that people think is confusing,” he said. “The folks did not know how to implement it.”

Obama was asked why former IRS Commission Doug Shulman visited the White House so many times. He said Shulman was there to discuss ObamaCare and the Dodd-Frank financial reform law.

“I do not recall meeting him in any of these routine meetings,” he said.

Obama defends Benghazi response

By Erik Wasson
President Obama on Sunday defended his administration’s handling of the 2012 attack on the U.S. outpost in Benghazi, Libya, that left Ambassador Chris Stevens dead.

Obama, under questioning from Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly, reiterated his claim that the administration did not try to conceal that the fact it was a terrorist attack in order to help Obama’s reelection campaign.

“I’ve gone thorough this and we’ve had multiple hearings on this,” Obama said.

The president was asked what exactly Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told him when informing him of the attack.

“He told me it was an attack on our compound,’ Obama said. “The fact of the matter is that people understood at the time that something very dangerous was happening."

Obama said that the notion the administration would “hide the ball” was false and he blamed Fox News for convincing people otherwise.

"What I am saying is 'that is inaccurate.' We revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time."

“They believe because folks like you are telling them,” he said.

Obama said that he is focused on implementing increased diplomatic security measures around the world.

When is someone going to ask OPapaDoc where he was on the night Benghazi happened, and why he insisted on not being disturbed in the midst of an enemy attack?  Does this question not occur to people like BOR, or are they required to pledge not to ask it in order to procure an interview?

How many rules for radicals apply here?

Quote
Saul Alinsky’s 12 Rules for Radicals

Here is the complete list from Alinsky.

* RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

* RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

* RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

* RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

* RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

* RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

* RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

* RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

* RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

* RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

* RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

* RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
