Congratulations to Speaker Johnson .  He pulled off a near miracle.

I'm not sure what is in this bill. Whether it's good or bad. (I'll look now since it's passed) But I am shocked that Johnson was able to get it thru the House in this amount of time. It is a near miracle.

The only other comment I have is...I saw a clip of Hakeem during his blah, blah, blahing. It sounded to me like he was channeling Barack in manner. He even kinda looked like him.

Biden claims he's 'getting calls' from European leaders wanting him to 'get engaged'
The former president said even Democratic and Republican colleagues call him for advice

Former President Joe Biden claimed during a rare public appearance on Wednesday that he keeps getting calls from officeholders and European leaders asking for advice during the Trump era.

Biden gave a keynote speech at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) convention in San Diego and later sat down with SHRM president and CEO Johnny Taylor in a video published by Democratic operative Chris Jackson on X.

The two talked about how he has been spending his time since leaving office. After touting his accomplishments, the former president said he still stays engaged with world efforts and is constantly told by international leaders to get more involved.

"I’m getting calls. I’m not going to go into it, I can’t, from a number of European leaders asking me to get engaged," Biden said. "I’m not, but I’m giving advice. Because things are different."

"How can you just walk away?" Biden added. "You don’t see me out there publicly doing a lot of this. But I’m also dealing with a lot of Democrats and Republican colleagues, all of them, wanting to talk, not because they think I have the answer, just to bounce things off me. I’m seeing a lot of officeholders… I’m not looking for them. They asked to see me, I see them."

Biden also revealed that he was working on a memoir since "every president is expected to write a memoir." He described himself as "working like hell" to write a 500-page book that his publisher wants out by "March of this year."

Democrats Complain About Disrupted Travel Plans After Hakeem Jeffries’ Hours-Long Speech

Katherine Hamilton 3 Jul 2025

After House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ (D-NY) record-breaking, hours-long speech ahead of the passage of the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” his fellow Democrats complained anonymously about how his lengthy stunt interfered with travel plans ahead of July 4 weekend.

In anonymous comments to Axios, two disgruntled House Democrats grumbled about Jeffries leaving his colleagues in the dark about his plans to essentially filibuster the passage of President Donald Trump’s agenda through the budget reconciliation bill.

“No one is upset Hakeem wanted to do this, but to not tell members, ‘be prepared, book multiple flights, be flexible,'” one House Democrat told the outlet on condition of anonymity, complaining that rebooking flights around the July 4 holiday is particularly difficult.

Another House Democrat, who also spoke anonymously, said that a “heads up would have been nice.”

Jeffries gave an eight-and-a-half hour speech, surpassing the record for longest House speech in history held by then-Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in 2021 to delay President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” vote.

Sources familiar with the matter told Axios Jeffries warned House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) of his plans before his speech.

“The House Democratic leader communicated that he was ‘just going to do an hour,’ one of the sources said, but that it ‘may be longer now,”‘ according to the report.

The Mullahs will not fall on their own.  They'll need to be outside forces increasing economic pressure upon the regime - lower oil prices, counterfeit Iranian currency, unreliable electric grid, and other 'problems'.

If Iranian people can't do it, we need to stay out of it.

The Autopen Speaks: Biden Comes Out of Retirement to Bash Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill

Jasmyn Jordan 3 Jul 2025

Former President Joe Biden made a rare reentry into the spotlight Thursday to attack President Donald Trump’s landmark legislative victory, posting on X just hours after the “One Big Beautiful Bill” cleared the House.

“The Republican budget bill is not only reckless — it’s cruel,” Biden wrote. “It slashes Medicaid and takes away health care from millions of Americans. It closes rural hospitals and cuts food assistance for our veterans and seniors. It jacks up energy bills. And it could trigger deep cuts to Medicare while driving up the deficit by $4 trillion. All of this to give a massive tax break to billionaires. Working people deserve better.”

The bill, which passed the House 218-214 on Thursday afternoon, fulfills a broad range of campaign promises made by President Trump and cements key pillars of his agenda into law. From border enforcement to tax cuts and regulatory rollback, the legislation touches nearly every issue that defined Trump’s return campaign and marks a sweeping rebuke of the Biden-era federal expansion.

While critics have pointed to the bill’s size and spending levels, Trump allies argue that its passage delivers exactly what the president needs most: political momentum. With Congress united behind his agenda, Trump now enters the second half of his first year back in office with the leverage to pursue even more sweeping reforms and the credibility to make them stick.

Despite every Democrat attempt to derail it, Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill will be signed into law at the White House on Friday.

It is apparently true. Israel got the Patriot missiles instead.

Yeah, I've read this on several different sites since the original post. But it seems that it's not a total cease of munition shipments. The Patriots seem to be the biggie. I have no idea if Europe has this type of missile, but hopefully they do and will step up to the plate.

Boy they are really going to have to ramp up their ADA compliance in Congress with all these post geriatric leaches.
