Kerry: 'Life as You Know It on Earth Ends' If Climate Skeptics Are Wrong

"Life as you know it on Earth ends" if climate change skeptics are wrong, Sec. of State John Kerry declared Thursday.
But, even if climate alarmists are wrong, nothing bad can come of enacting their taxes, restrictions and regulations, Kerry said in a speech at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center:
"I'd just say to all of you here that people need to feel the pressure from you. You all know what politics is about. I'm not in it now, but I'm dependent on it to help make the right decisions so that we move in the right direction. A clean energy future is not a fantasy. Changing course and avoiding the worst impacts of climate change is not a fantasy. And supporting healthier communities and ecosystems and driving economic growth and job creation - none of that is a fantasy.
"And for those people who still stand in the way, for those people who even still today want to try to question whether or not their science is effective or not, I'd just ask you - ask a simple question: If we're wrong about this future, what's the worst that could happen to us for making these choices?
"The worst that could happen to us is we create a whole lot of new jobs, we kick our economies into gear, we have healthier people, healthier children because we have cleaner air, we live up to our environmental responsibility, we become truly energy independent, and our security is stronger and greater and sustainable as a result. That's the worst that happens to us."
But, if skeptics are wrong and the temperature rises even seven degrees, life on Earth will end, Kerry claimed:
"What happens if they're wrong? If they're wrong - catastrophe. Life as you know it on Earth ends. Seven degrees increase Fahrenheit, and we can't sustain crops, water, life under those circumstances."

With the whole world on fire, this is what he has time to worry about. Great use of his time I must say.
But what this points out is the Obama/Kerry, all those guys, do not care one bit about ISIS or Ebola. In fact they are pissed off about these things because it is distracting everyone from what Obama wants to do. These do not care about real problems or real issues. With these guys it is agenda first at any cost and to hell with everything else.
They don't give a damn about ISIS or Ebola, they want to focus on their Global Warming scam, and gun control, and open borders. They want ISIS and Ebola to go away not because it is evil, but because it is messing up their bigger agenda of making America a facsist socialist state. That is what Obama/Kerry worry about regardless of anything else that is happening in the world.

Four months which got him the three Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and a Silver Star, which he wrote up himself as well as "filming" his various heroisms. And I don't even want to go into his treasonous behavior when he returned.

What the hell are they basing all this doom upon? A severe drought in California? The ice cap melting at one of the poles? Snow in September?
Are they so hell bent on installing carbon use taxes on all businesses? Is that the reason?
Did aliens make contact with our country's leaders and tell them we're in a world of sh*t and Kerry can't bring himself to tell us?
We're just supposed to bend over and accept what they've got for us? "Thank you sir...I'll have another?"

We're living in a BIZARRO country. Our USA we grew up in is dead and gone.
At least with Jimmy Carter and later with Bill Clinton, we felt a Republican POTUS victory was tantamount to taking a much needed shower.
There ain't no shower gonna fix this mess. Not with the current alphabet 'news' organizations, which have become Domestic Enemy #1, IMO.

Unfortunately I think you are right! And baby steps ain't ever gonna fix it! We need bold action and lots of it!

As a follow-on, knowing that a cruise ship can't turn around on a dime, what steps could be taken to begin turning this huge ship of state around? Conservatives rightfully criticize Democrats for taking bold actions without thinking about the unforeseen problems. How do Republicans turn things around without stepping into that same swamp?

You bet your boots there are systemic problems in our government and playing patty cake ain't going to fix it!
If I were a member of the republican leadership the very first thing I would suggest doing is to pass and send to the president a FULL repeal of the "Affordable" Care Act! And when he vetoes that I would send it back again and again and again until he stops vetoing it!
I would also pass a REAL tax reform measure that changes the tax code in such a way that the IRS is no longer needed and is done away with.
I would then pass a measure that truly reforms civil service.
How's that for starters?

All of that sounds nice, but you're forgetting the part where half the country and our government would do everything they could to stop that from happening. Knowing the solution is one thing, but getting there is another thing entirely. How do we take real steps towards making real progress in politics?
