Conservative federal judges say they won’t hire Columbia graduates
by Lexi Lonas - 05/07/24 9:46 AM ET

A group of right-leaning federal judges sent a letter to the president and law dean of Columbia University saying they won’t hire graduates of their school after the unrest that has taken over campus the last few weeks of the academic year.

“As judges who hire law clerks every year to serve in the federal judiciary, we have lost confidence in Columbia as an institution of higher education,” said the 13 conservative judges.

Columbia saw the start of the pro-Palestinian encampments that have spread across the country. The school took two weeks to get police involved to clear the area.

“Freedom of speech protects protest, not trespass, and certainly not acts or threats of violence or terrorism. Speech is not violence, and violence is not speech. Universities that are serious about academic freedom understand the difference, and they enforce the rules accordingly,” the judges wrote.

“It has become clear that Columbia applies double standards when it comes to free speech and student misconduct. If Columbia had been faced with a campus uprising of religious conservatives upset because they view abortion as a tragic genocide, we have no doubt that the university’s response would have been profoundly different,” they added.

The judges said they would cease hiring from the school starting with the class of 2024.

Massachusetts Democrat Governor Maura Healey Approves Millions in New Spending on Illegal Immigrants as Residents Flee State

Massachusetts Democrat Governor Maura Healey has just approved hundreds of millions in new spending for illegal immigrants, even as people are fleeing the state for greener pastures.

Massachusetts is a sanctuary state where homeless migrants must be housed, no matter how badly it works out for citizens.

The state is spending an insane amount of money on people who entered the country illegally.

Townhall reports:

How about during massive hail storms.  Do you know how much it costs to dispose of the chromium and cadmium laden panels as Universal, hazardous waste?  Then add the logistics nightmare of having to fish these suckers out individually out of acres and acres of this crap.

What about Deepwater horizon mess?

Exxon Valdez

The thousands of oil refinery and chemical plant explosions around the world over the years polluting and killing thousands

coal mine collapse around the world killing tens of thousands over the years

Chernobyl

strip mining that forever ruins the upper topsoil

Every industry has issues and nothing is 100% perfect.

Solar panels are being created that will withstand the worst hail and also panels are in development stage that as soon as hail hits or detected via computer they will move vertically via small motors so the panels will be saved.

Biden Co-Chair: Pausing Ammo Shipment to Israel Signals ‘Concerns’ About Rafah, Where Israel’s Following Rules

On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” Biden Campaign Co-Chair Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said that Israel dropping leaflets warning civilians is “yet another example” “of the IDF continuing to follow the rules of war.” But the reported paused ammunition shipment to Israel “does signal that there are grave concerns on the part of many of us. It is a reminder that many have raised concerns about the conduct of what might be the last phase of this war in Gaza” in Rafah.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Plays 'Hide the Illegals' Ahead of DNC, Outraged Residents Have Other Ideas

By Sister Toldjah | 6:45 PM on May 06, 2024

Democrats who tout themselves as champions for homeless people oftentimes have a funny way of showing it, as we've seen, for instance, during Democratic National Conventions in years past.

For example, in Denver in 2008 and Charlotte in 2012, Democrat leaders in those cities and states ushered in temporary plans to restrict the homeless from areas where they could potentially be seen by visitors to their respective cities during DNCs.

More recently, we saw California Gov. Gavin Newsom, in partnership with San Francisco Mayor London Breed, admit in November to hiding the city's homeless and cleaning up its streets ahead of an APEC Summit, where President Joe Biden and China's Xi Jinping met for a high stakes meeting.

"I know folks are saying, 'Oh they're just cleaning up this place because all those fancy leaders are coming to town.' That's true because it's true, but it's also true for months and months and months prior to APEC we've been having conversations," Newsom said at the time.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, as it turns out, had plans to continue that tradition ahead of the DNC that is scheduled to take place there in August. Except in Johnson's case, it wasn't about hiding the homeless - it was about hiding the illegal immigrants:

Jon Stewart: Biden Too ‘F**king Old,’ ‘Shouldn’t Be President’

Paul Bois 7 May 2024

Comedian Jon Stewart declared President Joe Biden just might be too “bleep old” to be the commander-in-chief.

The comedian offered his summation of Biden’s mental fitness during a comedy performance at the Netflix is a Joke festival.

“I know liberals say, ‘Don’t say Joe Biden is old’ — don’t say what people see with their own eyes! You can say it, he can’t hear us,” Stewart said.

“I know you know how bleep old he is, and I know you don’t want to say it because Trump is so scary, but he’s so bleep old,” he added. “When you watch him on television, you’re nervous, aren’t ya?”

Stewart ultimately concluded that while Biden has something to offer the world, he just “shouldn’t be president.”

Stormy Daniels to describe alleged sexual encounter with Trump at trial today

Porn star Stormy Daniels will describe her alleged sexual encounter with Donald Trump today at his trial, a prosecutor just said now.

"The general details of what occurred, including the sex act, are a significant part of the story and are very important for us,” prosecutor Susan Hoffinger said.

“The details of the encounter are important,” Hoffinger added. “It’s important for us to establish her credibility.”

But the prosecutor noted there will be some limits to Daniels’ testimony.

“In terms of the sexual act, it will be very basic,” she told the court. “It will not involve descriptions of genitalia.”
