What say Briefers.

Not in the nude...anymore.
That should be a stoner option... 88888cool

I love bacon but no longer eat it since I had a heart attack eight years ago. I used to make BLTs for hubby but it is too darn expensive anymore. Easiest way to cook bacon though is in the micro zapper.

We nuke it as well and the wife and I have a BLT for dinner at least once a month.

Baked with a (light) maple syrup glaze.

No kidding! That's something you only do twice.
-
Well, turkey bacon first off...
or turkey pastrami
or venison bacon...
Depends...
At camp, grilled on a wire screen - *favorite*
For breakfast I like it pan fried in butter, along with the eggs (over easy)
Sammiches and burgers, breakfast sammiches and burritos, I prefer the texture from the nuke.

I truly miss bacon grease...

Me too!! That's perfect!

Wife has gone soft on me, she now buys the pre-cooked stuff in a big bag, nukes it a few seconds in paper towels and serves it to everyone but me .... except on rare rare occasions. The ole gout keeps my wanna-be-greasy fingers away for the most part.
Man I love bacon... 8888crybaby

Try turkey bacon.

Try turkey bacon.
Turkey bacon is good. So is bacon bacon.
I have a BLT about every two months at a diner, as a treat.
And I have it in a Cobb salad

Turkey bacon is good.
You really have to look for the good stuff... Not all turkey bacon is equal. Most folks get no further than Jenny-O, which is really pretty mediocre. My favorite comes from Albertson's Signature series, though the three or four pack from the Costco ain't bad. Wallyworld sometimes has an uncured thick turkey bacon that I like pretty much too.
So is bacon bacon.
I don't see much pig anymore. It's been years since I had pork bacon. The only pig I eat is from the italian sausage on store bought or delivered pizza... And as I get better at making pizza at home, that will go away too, as there are very good turkey based italian sausages.

And I have it in a Cobb salad
BLTs depend on if I have bacon thawed out. If I have bacon I love BLTs, and have one every time I can... But I tend to hot breakfast sausage rather than bacon, so having bacon around is a little intermittent.
You should try a BLT using turkey pastrami (fried up). Awesome.

Ok, I’m up. And craving bacon and eggs!
I see a trip to the grocery store in my future. Here’s hoping bacon hasn’t gone up too much in price
-
Boiled it's the only way.
-
We cook it on the Recteq. Tastes yummy and no cleanup.

Ditto! My favorite cooking fat.
-
Ever since the studies came out about Nitrosomines I stopped microwaving it because it cooks at too high a temperature. Now it's fry or bake. Or get it precooked.
-
Fry bacon in a cast iron skillet.
Toasted Bread
2 slices of home grown tomatoes
1 sice of onion
1 leaf of lettuce
5 slices of bacon
Substitute Mayo with this.....

Sometimes on a charcoal grill, to go along with hamburgers.
Since it already lit...
Smokes a lot though.
Usually fry it.

Glad to see most Briefers so far have chosen the only really good way to cook bacon (when not cooking over an open fire): frying.
On the other hand I will admit to having baked some bacon within the past year: lining the pan in which a meatloaf was being cooked. But for bacon qua bacon, frying (or an open fire) is the way to go.
-
Pan frying in a cast-iron pan. Anything else is sacrilege.
And the grease gets set aside to cool off, then gets saved to pan-fry potatoes. Sometimes it's mixed in with beef fat from a previous batch of hamburgers.

About a year ago, my BFF's cardiologist put her on Keto/Ketovore/Carnivore way of eating. They're both over the moon with her results -- not just in terms of weight, but also in terms of test numbers. This prompted me to start researching, so I'm including some of the info that caught my interest. The last video reminds me of the technique that's been used to push the global warming narrative. There's just stuff you don't dare contradict lest you pay a high price. Feel free to skip these vids if they don't pique your interest.
