Ohio is suddenly a 2020 battleground
By Jonathan Easley - 06/06/20 05:00 PM EDT
President Trump’s campaign is spending money to defend Ohio, an unexpected development that underscores the president’s polling weakness amid the coronavirus pandemic and civil unrest wracking the country.
Trump won Ohio by 8 points in 2016, and Democrats failed to flip any House seats there in 2018, which was an otherwise big year for Democrats nationwide.
Democrats had all but written off the state heading into the 2020 cycle, believing the rightward drift had taken the former presidential bellwether off the board as a battleground state.
But a Fox News poll released this week found Democratic nominee Joe Biden leading Trump by 2 points in Ohio, one of several recent polls to find a close race there.

Isn't Ohio a battleground swing state literally every election cycle?

Yes
They went Democrat in 2008 and 2012. GOP in 2000 and 2004

Ohio has been a battleground state, however, I'm seeing reports (not sure if it is true or not), that Biden is tied with Trump in Texas!

According to the leftist media, Trump is behind in 50 states and DeeCee.

Biden is going to be harder to beat than people realize, people don't see him as a leftist really, more like a grandfatherly figure.

More importantly, his name is not spelt "T-R-U-M-P."

Bigger problem: he will appoint far-left judges.

That is a huge problem imho.

That is a huge problem imho.
With today's New Normal of using Courts to push new Laws, I agree that is top-most in priority.

Not good.. I'm hearing rumors that Trump is running ads in Texas.

Ohio has always been, and will always be, a battleground. That Trump is barely above Biden in Texas is a scary prospect. So is a Biden presidency, as the guy is barely sentient.

I agree, Ohio is always a swing state. I expect they stick with Trump, but he and his campaign should not assume they have it. I expect a full court press in the state by both sides.
