Democratic Pollster: Dems Should Not Run on Their Own Governing Record

Top Democratic pollster Mark Mellman told the Wall Street Journal that running on the Democratic record will be tough for Democrats in the 2014 Election.

“If it’s a referendum on whether you like the way Democrats have governed…that’s a harder election for us to win,” Mellman said.

Instead, Mellman said Democrats should try to “frame the election as a choice between governing philosophies.”

Mellman’s clients include Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., N.V.) as well as a number of other Democratic senators and governors.

I wish they would run on their record.  In fact there is so much of their record available out there, their opponents are going to be running on it for them anyway.....

I don't believe for one second the democratic "record" will be used by their brothers in the republican party.
