The border is right where Trump's hyperbole bit him in the ass.

He campaigned on that ridiculous claim that Mexico would pay for the border wall and the result of that was that he couldn't/didn't push hard for border money when elected because that would have been contradicting his stupid promise.

As a result, he waited too long to make that push, and by the time he got around to it, the Democrats controlled the House and wouldn't give him the money.

Agreed.  Trump won his campaign on securing the border and building the wall.  He failed.  He also failed to get the $$ needed while he had a decent majority in both Houses.

Now ... he's vowing to do this again.  So...what is he going to do differently that will allow him to secure the border and build the wall?

He also is campaigning on draining the swamp (retribution), he didn't accomplish that in his first administration, how is he going to accomplish that if he's re-elected?

His failed policies are many.  Why would his second term be any different?

The obvious is not in his favor; his age and facing 90+ felonies.

His supporters really need to get a grip on reality.

More than anything conservatives and the GOP are left with no path forward right now.  The one conservative that may have led us to victory he smeared.

After downsizing health care for years, Pentagon says medical readiness was a casualty

The Air Force put Todd Rasmussen through medical school, and he planned to serve a while and then go into private practice at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. He started his military career as a vascular surgeon in Northern Virginia, a few weeks before Sept. 11, 2001.

"You could sort of see smoke from the Pentagon. I thought, boy, my military career as a surgeon ... it's gonna be vastly different than what I expected," he recalls.

Rasmussen switched to trauma surgery as casualty numbers soared to the highest rates since Vietnam. At first, the way patients arrived within days from the war zone thousands of miles away amazed him. That wore off though, when he realized patients weren't getting care soon enough. By the time they reached the U.S., their wounds were contaminated and sometimes too late to treat without amputation.

Shouldn't he have to apologize for not having enough gays and trannies, women, and not being woke enough, too?  It wasn't in his command that the barracks went down so why should he have to apologize?

Top Marine ‘won’t apologize’ for Corps’ past neglect of barracks
By Irene Loewenson
 Thursday, May 2

WASHINGTON — The top Marine leader “won’t apologize” for the years of underinvestment in the Marine Corps’ barracks even though he has made improving those living facilities a top priority now that he is in charge.

“When we geared up for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, we focused on weapons systems, training and technology,” Commandant Gen. Eric Smith said Thursday at the Modern Day Marine conference in Washington. “And that focus kept a lot of Marines alive in Helmand province, kept a lot of Marines alive in Iraq, in the Sunni Triangle.”

“So, again, I can’t apologize for previous generations of Marines to prioritize training and equipping over quality of life,” he continued. “But now the tide has to turn, and we have to get back to quality of life.”

The foolish, misbegotten ordinance did not require conversion of existing properties, it only forbade new installations of gas appliances/furnaces and the like.

It was still sompletely stupid since burning natural gas at the site is more efficient than any way of generating electricity off-site and using the electricity.  Only idiots under the delusion that all electricity would soon come from windmills and solar panels (they aren't proposing nuclear plants, the only realistic way of replacing fossil fuels for electricity generation) would think it somehow decreased "carbon emissions". (That and preventing any new restaurants preparing the many sorts of cuisine that really depend on the sort of heat on can get from a large gas burner, but can't get from an electric stove from opening in Berkeley.)

Another Terrible Box Office Report For Woke Hollywood
Story by Bo Beard • 16h

The Hollywood box office has faced significant challenges in recent times, stemming from a combination of factors such as strikes, film delays, surprise flops, and the availability of streaming services.

The total domestic box office gross for 2023 fell short of the anticipated $9 billion, standing at $8.58 billion as of December 17th. This underperformance was attributed to a variety of issues, including strikes, superhero film flops, and a reduced number of film releases, leading to a tough year for the industry.

Even if the movies were good there is a significant and probably growing segment of the public who just aren't interested in high ticket prices, insane concession stand prices, rude and inconsiderate children and adults in theaters today...oh and insane volume blasted at you that leave your ears ringing for hours and possible long term hearing issues. I know that it would take something exceptional to draw me back into a movie theater **nononono* Too many people have bought high definition TV and sound systems and just prefer to wait and watch at home. Oh I forgot another big reason for me to avoid paying to see a movie, I refuse to contribute to the pay of Hollywood moron elites who hate me and America.

Thank God For Straight White Men
Derek Hunter

That headline is highly unfashionable and will not get me any job offers to be president of any university, but it’s true – straight, white men kick ass. It doesn’t hurt that I’m one of them, and it is incomplete to think ONLY people like me kick ass, we awesome people come in every flavor. But no group of people has been more demonized by the left than the people who, if we’re being honest, have done more for our species than any other.

It's probably a hate crime at any of those “martyrs camps” on campuses to point that out, just as it’s probably a hate crime to point out just how much of the good things in life people enjoy – technology, medicine, clothes, various delicious foods – were the fruits of evil whitey’s colonization and work. True story, look it up.

That’s the reason no one on the left, while screaming bloody murder about some Kardashian sister braiding their hair being “CULTURAL APPROPRIATOR,” never bothers to hate the “colonizers” who invented antibiotics or the awful privileged monsters who created the cell phones they’re using to inform the world of just how oppressed they are as they wait in line at Starbucks to pay $10 for a cup of flavored warm water.

If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

Of course they’ll never give up. But they must be soundly discredited and defeated. They have to be clearly defined to the public by credible opposition and their blood supply, a growing government and massive deficit spending, needs to be cut off
