Mall of America in Bloomington is on lockdown Thursday afternoon, but mall security could not confirm to FOX 9 reports of a shooting at the mall.

We have secured the scene at the Mall of America and can confirm that shots were fired. This is an isolated incident. The suspect fled the MOA on foot and officers are in the process of interviewing witnesses. At this time we have not located a victim.

I understand Laura Ingraham has reported this week from Minneapolis, where people told her the increasing lawlessness is frightening and dangerous. One woman said she won't dare go to Mall of America anymore because of the crime there - and no cops to do anything about it.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — Someone opened fire Thursday at the Mall of America in suburban Minneapolis, sending shoppers running for cover, but police said they had not yet found a victim.
Bloomington police also said they were still searching for a suspect after securing the scene.
Video posted to social media showed what appeared to be a man shouting as he walked near the complex’s Nike store, with at least three apparent gunshots.
The mall, which opened in 1992, is the largest in the U.S. and is a tourist destination and community gathering spot.
Video posted online showed shoppers fleeing from the amusement park on the giant mall’s ground level, holding their children’s hands and clutching their bags. Still other video showed a pair of police officers, including one with a rifle, moving through the mall, and people walking quickly away from the mall’s large interior atrium area.
Trent Turner, a salesman at a DSW shoe store one level below the Nike store, said he was near the back when he heard shots. “Then I saw everyone stampeding toward the back,” he said.
One woman tweeted that she was shopping for clothes for high school senior pictures with her 17-year-old daughter when the store manager told them to “move as far back as possible.” The woman said she was in a fitting room with her daughter. Another person posted video of dozens of people said to be gathered in the basement as warnings to “please shelter immediately” repeated over mall speakers.

Back in the 80's I had several accounts in Liberty City. They all told me to come before 11 am. They thugs were just waking up at noon. That Mall is an invitation for crime. I hope they don't build it.

Crime has gotten so bad in the TCs my liberal stepdaughter and her husband refuse to go there anymore. They used to visit downtown Minny often. He used to work there until Covid. His boss his forcing him to work downtown again after two years of working at home.
So many regular Minny cops have quit or retired that the gov. has been forced to send more HP cops to work the city. Not only have homicides spiked in the last two years, street racing and other shenanigans have spiked from the feral lawless who have taken over.
The mayor of Minny is useless as is the governor both held hostage to far left elements.

In today's world where we can't even dictate the language, we need to get an arm's length away from "Conservative/Conservatism".
Until we gain "Media Balance", we need to change our label from 'dirty, rotten scoundrel' Conservatives to CONSTITUTIONALISTS!
I mean, who'd have a problem with that word?

@verga Karmic justice perhaps, but those that live in those 'hell holes' are trapped by the liberal indoctrination that they have received for decades. That liberal ideology is now passed on from generation to generation. Thank you LBJ! Conservatives and conservatism to them is the root of all evil and the MSM and liberals in office reinforce that idea.
Things will never change unless conservatives are able to show them and educate them that there is a better way. I don't see that happening anytime soon. The liberals have a stranglehold on what is taught in the public school system.
Liberals are erasing history. The tearing down of historical monuments and re-writing history books and all this 'wokeness' is all by design. I believe that O'bammy and Soros are behind the destruction. The transformation of America that they seek is underway and it is being done by their 'silent army'.

When the feckless leftist mayor of Minny, Jacob Frey, allowed leftist thugs to burn down a cop shop two years ago in the wake of the death of St. George Floyd, it was inevitable that things would quickly deteriorate.
The bad thing about Minnesota is that the gov., Tim Walz, is another feckless lib who doesn't want to irritate the lawless, leftist thugs who now control the city.
But from polls taken the minority black residents of the TC support police and stricter enforcement more than the white residents many of whom want to defund the police.
The decrease in the numbers of cops and the slackening off has determined a very predictable increase not only in violent crime, but also traffic deaths. The feral mob has turned many streets into sites for racing and for doing donuts.
Moral of story: libs ruin everything. And Minny used to be a fairly decent town even if run by libs. No more. The libs are more leftists now.
I don't live there, but I have daughters and grandkids who live around there. The wife and I won't go into the TC anymore for concerts, and neither will my lib daughter and her husband.
