President Donald Trump spoke at the Annual Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC on Thursday morning after his acquittal in the sham impeachment investigation on Wednesday. This was also two days after Nancy Pelosi ripped up his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.
President Trump opened his talk to the faithful with a dig at Nancy Pelosi and her evildoers who have put this nation through so much.
President Trump: As everyone knows my family, our great country, and your president have been put through a terrible ordeal by some very dishonest and corrupt people. They have done everything possible to destroy us and by so doing very badly hurt our nation.

If nobody is held accountable for all of the corruption that has been ongoing from the deep state.... then we have no "rule of law" in this country and this country will fall. It will be a matter of when, not if. And I think Trump knows this (it's common sense).

What I find so refreshing is instead of the typical DC two faced routine where everyone acts like it's over and it's all okay Trump confronts them to their face and calls them out for being corrupt.

I honestly think it's been unmasked...it's the worse kept secret in the world. The only ones still acting like they don't know what happened are the Dems like Schiff.
Obama holdovers in the NSC...including a commissioned Army officer...conspired with Schiff, Pelosi, Nadler and a handful of others to remove a sitting President.
And actually this was the Plan B of what they wanted to do. Plan A was the Mueller report and the just as fake reports of Russian "collusion" by Trump and his associates.

We piss and moan all the time when some Dem politician goes into a house of worship or some religious forum and starts conducting some form of a political rally.

Righteous indignation, perhaps? Not like Trump doesn't have a "right" to that feeling.
Righteous indignation is typically a reactive emotion of anger over mistreatment, insult, or malice of another. It is akin to what is called the sense of injustice. In some Christian doctrines, righteous anger is considered the only form of anger which is not sinful, e.g., when Jesus drove the money lenders out of the temple (Gospel of Matthew 21).
And since the rats inject politics into EVERY aspect of EVERY thing on the planet....
he probably considers this just his form of fighting back. I'd rather have him fight back against the radical left than bend over, back down and/or say nothing (like GWB always did).

Trump, with his unorthodox approach, is changing the paradigm in DC. If it's not clear to everyone by now, it should be. Rather than constantly trashing his style let's all just see how it plays out.

My first impression was that he came across humbled and sincere. He and his family have been wrongfully attacked and the person who is instrumental in the attack is sitting right there. He is correct she hides behind her faith. He didn't name her in particular, but he merely pointed out the hypocrisy of what she does and says, yet she attends to attend a prayer breakfast.

Sort of agree... it is cringy, however, she did a presser right after and railed against him again with the usual vocabulary of colorful words.The problem he has, if he does not strike first and try to keep the liberals down, they will nail him and he is busy enough he does not get a shot at them...

Trump is different. He won't surrender any battlefield. The Rats will trot out some ignorant child to make a point and he will shoot back. The Rats will bring out some victim and he will shoot back. The Rats will pretend to be sincere in a faith setting and he will call them out. It may seem impolite to call out Romney and Pelosi at the prayer breakfast, but the Rats have used these settings for years to denigrate their enemies.

Sorry, I still don't buy that was an appropriate forum. Sure, the Dems have no decorum and will gleefully violate norms to slam Trump. But the reason you shouldn't politicize religious events is not out of respect for your political foes, but out of respect for the religious moment itself.
And as for the idea that it is okay to "speak truth" anywhere, that's simply ridiculous. I'm sure all of us can think of plenty examples of "truths" that you should refrain from speaking in places like churches, at weddings, funerals etc..

His words were fine, but it wasn't the appropriate venue for it. Part of what made his SOTU so successful was because he didn't rail about the sham impeachment during that speech. That wasn't the right place for it, and this wasn't either.

As a question of tactics/strategy rather than decorum, I'd generally agree. But in this particular instance, I think the SOTU was magnificent in terms of putting impeachment behind us, and the way the Dems behaved -- Pelosi in particular -- looked small and petty. I actually think their nastiness put them in a big hole with a lot of voters. If I were advising Trump, I'd tell him to let them keep digging on their own. If he says nothing and they keep bringing it up, most voters will become even more sick of them.
I honestly think re-engaging them on impeachment is bailing them out by giving them the argument they want.

I had an opportunity to listen to President Trump from behind the steering wheel this morning. My overall reaction was that his speech was well delivered and it carried an excellent message. In fact, it was moving.
As for him throwing darts at his political adversaries, my immediate reaction was it may have been the wrong setting, wrong time. But, his adversaries are cold and single-minded. As someone said, if you turn the cheek on them you will get it in the throat. I understand why he took the shot.

For three unrelenting years every level of our government has been used against the President: the FBI, the CIA, the Judiciary, the DOJ, the House of Representatives, and, yes, the media. And the cherry on this poisonous parfait was having to listen to a lying, barely coherent, evil witch preach her religious superiority with assurances she is praying for the man she's slowly killing with a smile.
And you're bent out of shape, struggling to diminish the man even now, over a venue. Unfreakinbelievable.

Agreed. He needs to get it out. He has been attacked for the past 3 years. He is not a young man by any means and I can't help but wonder how this has affected his health. I am glad that he is venting. I am glad that he still does his rallies. It must have been tremendously rewarding to have the entire GOP Senate back him -- well except for Mitch. He made some comments to Mitch (watching as well @ WH) and rightfully so.
In watching Trump in the past couple of days, he's been leaning on the podium while he speaks which I have never seen him do before. I believe this whole thing has taken its toll on him. He looks tired. He looks weary. He must feel tremendous relief and rightfully so, I hope and pray he gets a few days just to sit back, relax, and enjoy some time with his family.
