Biden calls for equal pay for US women's soccer team

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Sunday called for equal pay for the U.S. women's national soccer team.
"Good luck to the @USWNT as they take on Chile!" Biden, who is currently running for president, tweeted Sunday. "As we cheer them on in the World Cup, we must support their fight off the field for equal pay. In 2019, it’s past time we close the pay gap and ensure women get paid as much as men."

The issue of equal pay has been brought up for other sports. Some WNBA athletes are upset that the average NBA player makes ten times as much or more than a WNBA athlete.
There is a reason for that. Just about nobody wants to watch the WNBA. In fact, to exist it has to be subsidized by the NBA. Left on its own it would never have gotten off the ground.
Now if the female pro soccer players outdraw the male players, they should be paid proportionately.
I have no idea of the numbers of people who watch pro soccer, either male or female.
Many of the top drawing female entertainers/musicians make gobs of money. They make multi-millions. I wouldn't walk across the street to watch any of them perform, but the market has spoken.
Nevertheless, SJW's and pandering pols can't stand it.

If anybody has a case for equal pay for equal work,it would be women pro rasslers. They take the same physical beatings and training accidents as the males,and they also really bring in the ticket buyers. Probably on the level where an average wimmin rassler that his hot can sell tickets like a 1st string pro male wrassler.
Not that *I* am the type that would lust after one. I'm just going with what I have been told.
