White House menu: Turkey, 9 types of pies

Thanksgiving dinner at the White House will be heavy on tradition and heavy on pies.
For dinner itself, the Obamas will have an assortment of dishes including sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, cornbread stuffing, oyster stuffing and — of course — turkey, the White House Press Office said Thursday.
While first lady Michelle Obama will be happy with the greens, which are also listed on the menu, dessert is a different story. The White House dessert menu boasts nine different pies including the classics: apple pie, pecan pie and the Thanksgiving staple pumpkin pie.
