The 12-year-old girls had been plotting the murder for months, police say.
Morgan E. Geyser was allowed to have two friends over each year for her birthday. This year, she'd celebrate on May 30. That is the day she and Anissa E. Weier would try to kill their friend during a sleepover.
On Monday, the two Waukesha girls were charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, each facing up to 65 years in prison. Their victim, another 12-year-old from Waukesha, was stabbed 19 times by either Geyser or Weier or both, according to a criminal complaint. All three attend Horning Middle School in Waukesha.
Geyser and Weier are being held on $500,000 bail each. The pre-teens attempted murder, they told police, to pay homage to a fictional character who they believed was real after reading about him on a website devoted to horror stories.
On Saturday, a bicyclist found the victim, lying on the sidewalk and covered in blood, with injuries to her arms, legs and torso. She had managed to crawl out of the woods, where the suspects had left her. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was in stable condition Monday evening, but fighting for her life.
A Waukesha County sheriff's deputy found Geyser and Weier hours later, walking near I-94 in Waukesha. A knife with a five-inch blade was in Weier's backpack.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel normally does not name juveniles involved in crimes, but is naming the suspects because they are in adult court and because of the severity of the charges. A criminal complaint filed Monday detailed the allegations.
I'm trying to imagine the moral vacuum in the lives of two pre-pubescent girls who try to kill another girl at a slumber party.......
We are truly rotting from the inside.
Yes, and I can't see a path to recovery. Rock bottom is our next stop.
I'm afraid I can't disagree with that, Relic, other than a massive spiritual awakening in this once great land.
At one point, when talking with police, Geyser said she was sorry. She said she had put the knife back into her bag and wiped it off on her jacket. She then told a detective, "It was weird that I didn't feel remorse."I'm guessing these children, like most of their generation, never once set foot in a house of worship.
Geyser said they had to do it or "he would kill our family." When asked who "he" was, Geyser said she didn't know him. When asked what she was trying to do when she stabbed her friend, Geyser said, "I may as well just say it: Kill her."
When asked about Slender Man, Geyser said she had never met him but said he watches her and he can read minds and teleport. Geyser said what she did was "probably wrong." She asked a detective if it is illegal to stab someone in self-defense. The detective said sometimes, and asked her if that was what happened in this instance.
No, she said.
I'm guessing these children, like most of their generation, never once set foot in a house of worship.
I can't even imagine that happening, given the daily push to minimize, marginalize and eliminate God from our lives.
Anyone still want to support the argument that today's media be it movies, video games, and web sites have no ill effect on young minds? Or old?
From another article
One of the girls told a detective they were trying to become "proxies" of Slender Man, a mythological demon-like character they learned about on creepypasta.wikia.com, a website about horror stories and legends. They planned to run away to the demon's forest mansion after the slaying, the complaint said.
According to the criminal complaint, one of the girls told an investigator they began planning to kill their friend in December. The other girl told police they decided to kill her so they could become proxies of Slender Man, who would accept them and let them live with him in his mansion in the Nicolet National Forest.
The other girl said she sees Slender Man in her dreams. She said he watches her and can read her mind and teleport.
"It's extremely disturbing as a parent and as chief of police," Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack said at a news conference ahead of the court appearances Monday.
The girls invited their friend to a slumber party on Friday evening, the complaint said. They planned to kill her during the night so they wouldn't have to look into her eyes, one girl told police, and then run away. They decided to put it off, but the next day, during a hide-and-seek game in a wooded park, they attacked their friend with a knife. One girl told the other to "go ballistic, go crazy," according to the complaint.
The victim began to scream that she hated them and started stumbling away, one of the girls told police.
The girls left the victim lying in the woods. She crawled to a road where a bicyclist found her lying on the sidewalk. Police arrived and she gave them the name of one of the girls who attacked her.
It ain't the media, it's the minds. Some people are just batshit crazy.

The parents of Morgan Geyser, one of the two 12-year-olds charged with trying to murder their friend, have Instagram feeds featuring skulls
Morgan and her friend Anissa Weier were allegedly trying to be proxies for a mythological horror creature called Slenderman with the attack
In one Instagram post from mid April, Morgan's father Matt shared a photo of a drawing 'Mogo' made of Slenderman
His handle is 'deadboy420' in homage to a 'stoner rock' band
Both her father Matt and mother Angie have Gothic-themed photos
Email addresses connected to Matt Geyser were various forms of 'ILOVEEVIL' and sometimes included '666' at the end
The friend that Geyser and Weier stabbed 19 times miraculously survived and is said to be in stable condition at a hospital in Wisconsin
The character came from the website Creepypasta Wiki where users share fictional scary stories
Administrators have defended the site as a place for fictional works not a 'crazy satanic cult'
Sorry, but you can list all the crazy people you want, going back as far as you like, but you will never get me to swallow the lie of Moral Relativism.
That's funny. I always thought Conservatives worked in fact and let Leftists ply emotion to advance an agenda. Go ahead though, blindly ride your little unicorn across the gumdrop hills.
This post makes absolutely no sense.
I gave a link to a list of school violence dating back to the mid-19th century. Previous to video games, rap music and the Internet and while prayer was the way a school day was started.
I reiterated my belief Conservativism was a fact base discipline. What's the difficulty in comprehension?
Oh............something about the silly accusation about unicorns and gumdrops, I guess.........
This post makes absolutely no sense.
Well I try to stay away from pissing matches on forums with people that disagree with me, for I'm not going to change their mind and they aren't going to change mine. I believe people can be shaped by outside influences, and that those outside influences are far worse today than they were in generations past. olde north church thinks otherwise.
Now I'm not in favor of a government overstepping their bounds and getting into our homes, and maybe ONC thinks that is where I'm coming from, but I'm not blind to the fact that something evil seems t have been set lose, and the scary thing is its being excepted as "Its all good, don't worry."
I think NCD is Slenderman.....

[[ Gruesome. The one is either schizophrenic or a psychopath (the one who said the demon watched her and read her mind). That she said she thought it weird that she felt no remorse says it all. The other one, I don't know. A "good german" perhaps, a weak personality who got dominated by the stronger one? I cannot imagine the anguish their parents are in (let alone that of the victim's parents). ]]
Bad seed.
Best to remove them from our world.

2nd teen stabbing attack linked to Slender Man meme
By News.com.au (http://www.news.com.au/technology/online/second-attack-linked-to-creepypasta-fictional-character-slenderman-as-13yearold-daughter-stabs-ohio-mother/story-fnjwmwrh-1226948130224)

A teenage girl’s brutal attack on her mother has been linked to an obsession with fictional horror figure Slender Man.
An Ohio mom, who was stabbed by her 13-year-old daughter in the kitchen of their family home, has told how her child assaulted her after she became obsessed with the fictional character.
“I came home one night from work and she was in the kitchen waiting for me and she was wearing a mask, a white mask,” the mom told local news station WLWT.
The mother suffered multiple minor injuries — including a puncture wound on her back. “She was someone else during the attack,” the mother told WLWT.
The allegations came to light after two Wisconsin adolescents were charged with the attempted murder of a 12-year-old as a sacrifice to the online demon. Prosecutors allege that Anissa Weier and her friend Morgan Geyster, both 12, stabbed a friend 19 times and left her to die.
According to court documents, the girls told investigators they invited their friend to a sleepover at one of their houses and planned to duct tape her mouth while she was sleeping, stab her in the neck, put the covers over her to make it look like she was sleeping and run away to Slender Man’s mansion.
They backed out of that plan, deciding to kill her in a nearby park bathroom so her blood would go down the drain. One of the wounds came within a millimeter of piercing a major artery near her heart.
Police say the girls told detectives they wanted to murder the girl after reading tales about Slender Man on the horror website CreepyPasta. The victim managed to crawl to a nearby road where a cyclist found her lying on the footpath. The injured girl left hospital last week.
Slender Man, the creation of paranormal enthusiasts, is said to be a lanky, faceless creature in a suit who terrorizes and kidnaps children.
It is believed the spooky figure was invented in a Photoshop contest on the Something Awful forums in 2009 and became the subject of online paranormal fan fiction. He is also the subject of a number of YouTube mockumentaries where he terrifies viewers by making an appearance at a person’s front door.
The mother who was assaulted has pleaded with parents to monitor the behavior and reading material of their children.
“We found things that she had written and she made references to Slender Man. She also made references to killing,” the mother told WLWT.
The girl is currently in a juvenile detention center.
Wow.....this is the new generation the left is breeding and setting free upon us. No God, no morals. This won't end well.Yep.
three psychopaths who fixated on the same thing does not a pattern make, nor provide evidence that the object of their fixation is what turned them into monsters.Who said anything about a pattern?
Who said anything about a pattern?
They're symptomatic.
Stating that these three were emblematic of a new generation the left is unleashing on us most definitely asserts that these three demonstrate a pattern.
They're symptomatic.
They're too few in number to be anything other than an aberration at this point. Children of the Corn requires a little more than three aberrations.
True. And the first sign of meningitis is dismissed as a pimple or a bit of heat rash.
ever had meningitis? which sort?
Me - no. One of the grandkids had viral (thank god, easy to treat once it is caught). Squad mate were killed by bacterial - which got us all a nice two weeks in isolation, being checked every hour.
Yet that were not my point.
Sometimes, seeming outliers are symptoms of a serious disease. Bodies get sick, so do cultures. It's worth watching for.
