Things are beyond bleak period.

SCOTUS turned its back on us
Mandates - masks and vaccines
Push for electric vehicles - ridding combustion engines
Prices are soaring
Inflation is rising
Police are still being defunded
The rule of law is no longer respected; mob rule is growing
An election was stolen with little effort by the RNC/GOP to ensure a fair election in 2022
People still think Trump will be the savior at 78 years old
The Chinese own us - Biden & Fauci
Kamel  a/k/a Chuckles the Clown will be in charge when Biden steps down
Production shortages continue (caused by our gov't)
The Middle East is now the beast it once was
Push for climate change continues
Debt continues to climb at a staggering pace
Soros continues to fund the explosion of ILLEGALS coming across the border
Afghan refugees just took precedent over American citizens

.... I could go on but you get the idea  ....no positive news on the horizon

Advice: Food, water, gold, guns and ammo

Meghan Trainor pooped beside her husband - and relationship experts say that's OK

Meghan Trainor said she had side-by-side toilets put in and occasionally pooped beside her husband.

Relationship experts say that can build intimacy for some couples.

In some cases, pooping together can be a sign of codependency, experts say.

Big Media wants to manipulate me via flooding me with content to trigger anger and/or fear.

Big Media is a stakeholder in the current establishment.  Where does much of that political donation money go?  To the media.

The leaves are still turning Autumn colors.  The squirrels and chipmunks are collecting acorns for winter.  The bees are still gathering nectar since we haven't had a killing frost yet.  Flowers are going to seed.  The natural world outside my home office window is going about its normal business, despite what happens in Washington DC and on my TV.

In the real world, business needs to be done, and is being done.

In the world of illusion on my TV, everything seems broken.

Whom do I believe?  The squirrels, because they are not trying to sell me anything.

There is one test that tells one how fast the country is going down and here is that test:
Go to frozen ice cream in a store and look for Ice Cream Drumsticks.  If you find only little drumsticks no one wants are the only drumsticks there, the supply chain has failed to keep up the production of drumsticks and that means the supply chain of the country has failed so buy long term food, have a way to supply good water, etc. instead of buying those sorry little drumsticks.  Don't laugh because I am not kidding and I wish I were.

I stock up on the big ones, but it sounds like a good measure.  Most ice cream shelves in the grocers' freezers are empty, though.

I had no idea --   we have an ice cream maker so haven't shopped for ice cream in a long time.  Granted it doesn't make drumsticks, but we always have a couple of flavors of ice cream on hand.   Personally, I'm not an ice cream lover, I prefer cake.

How bad is it?  You really need an answer?  It is so bad that the Carter years of stagflation will look like the good ole days when Wrecking Ball Joe is done turning everything he touches to sh*t!!!!!!!  Literally.

If ever there were an individual that should have never been given power, it is this grifter.  His whole family are traitors and should be indicted, convicted and sent to the devil.  But instead, he will tax Americans to death, spend, spend, spend, inflate, inflate, inflate, and when he is and his commie cohorts are done, you may just never be able to sit again.

In November, 2022, the American people either throw EVERY Democommie to the curb, EVERY RINO to the curb, or face the permanent destruction of this once great republic.  Frankly, I think it is already too late.

I will be making some serious purchases of items we don't want to do without soon.
I would have already done so, but it has been one hell of a year for unplanned expenses.
Thankfully, God provides. I just want to help a little.

I need to start  accumulating more personal items; shampoo, soap, bandages, razors, toothpaste, etc., they will become more difficult to find and pricey; same I believe with laundry soap and other cleaning items.

I already have a stash of tp and paper towels and dehydrated food.  It may not last as long as needed, but we can hopefully make it stretch for quite awhile.

 Amen @Smokin Joe   God provides!

Without hiring a real estate Lawyer I am about to lose half of a 16X16 cedar post shed, dirt floor fully enclosed, half on my property, grandfathered in 1942 when the owner split the lot.
New Yorker, retired FD, now wants to tear it all down to build his new house.  Technically it's his building but it's on MY property.
Though there is already a wall splitting it in half, structurally it wouldn't be sound to keep my half up.

So how big a storage unit do I start with in negotiations?   Wood ~ 12X10?

60X45 is a nice size, although if I were to do it again,I'd go a little bigger.

PLUS.....,demand insulation,ac,and heat be a part of the package.

A toilet, shower, and hot water heater would really seal the deal.

BTW,go for a quonset hut with blown in insulation. One with a round roof so you don't have to worry about wind, shingles,or leaks. Don't get a thin one, either. Get one that is rated to withstand more wind than you expect to ever get.  Mine is rated to withstand sustained winds of 175 mph,but the big garge doors in each end are rated at only 125 MPH or so of sustatined winds. My solution was to just back a car or truck bumper up to the doors, then set the emergency brakes so they wouldn't roll.

Don't be stingy with the cement. Too thin will crack. Go for 6 inches with a lot of rebar and fencing wire in it.

You can always accept a little less, but you can never ask for a little more.

Pool tables are heavy.  We had one when we first married - my hubby traded it for doing some electrical work for someone. It was too much to move, so we sold it with the house. They are a lot of fun though to have around.

Make sure you get the circulated heat in the slab, if you're inclined to work on vehicles in the winter. It makes the work much more pleasant.
