MSNBC “Morning Joe†host Joe Scarborough went to bat for 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s mental capacity on Friday.
Scarborough highlighted that polling shows President Donald Trump’s attacks on Biden being senile is “backfiring†on him, especially given that Biden is “obviously†“not senile.†According to Scarborough, it’s a “ridiculous†and “ageist†argument by Trump.
“When you’re talking about seniors and coronavirus, that’s one part of it. But another part, isn’t there polling out that shows that his constant attacks on Joe Biden is senile when, obviously, Joe Biden is not senile, is actually backfiring on Donald Trump as well?†Scarborough asked.
Network contributor John Heilemann said Trump has “overplayed his hand†by going after Biden for his mental issues, adding GOP strategists in Florida believe it has “backfired†on him among senior citizens.
“Among Republican strategists in Florida, if you ask them why is Trump hurting with seniors, they come with two answers. One is COVID, and one is that he’s overplayed his hand in how he attacked Joe Biden as being, you know, like mentally infirm at this point in his life,†Heilemann advised. “They think that’s backfired.â€
“Especially when you look at the reels of tape that ‘The Daily Show’ has on Donald Trump having trouble completing sentences,†Scarborough replied. “It’s a ridiculous argument, an ageist argument, strangely enough, coming from a 74-, 75-year-old guy. Doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense.â€

Trump does not need to state the obvious. People that are senile go through a declining period where their inability to function mentally declines steadily. Biden is not completely senile yet, but it is safe to say he is in the chute that leads one to complete non brain function.
All of us have seen him repeatedly fail to complete a simple sentence, a simple thought, only to resort to saying 'you know, the thing'. The idea that the Dems can put forth a man with a compromised brain function, one that will have his finger on our entire network of nuclear armament is beyond belief. Not only are the Democommies the single greatest existential threat to America, but having Biden as POTUS is the greatest threat to world security and peace.
Biden will be a rubber stamp to whoever ends up running the country,, and if that ends up being Kamala Harris or worse Jill Biden, God help us. And Jill Biden would not be the first spouse running the country in the name of her husband. With Biden as POTUS, you better believe it will be a field day for our enemies, particularly the Chinese.

There is a major disinformation campaign ongoing, IMO.... to portray Biden as someone in late-stage dementia. By posting 3-minute clips of video from his events, they are showing only what they want to illustrate. But the illustration is faulty. Sure, Biden (the Gaffemaster) is politically stupid, a serial liar, a plagiarist, a moron and all of the above (a typical leftist). But he isn't as bad off as they're trying to paint him.
I've sought out the entire video of two such instances to paint Biden as befuddled, senile, nearly collapsed, etc.... and both times the rest of the video showed him to be cogent, not befuddled and just fine. My question is...why the deception? What does someone gain by doing this? Getting the right to underestimate Biden benefits who, exactly?

To downplay Biden's failing mental function is folly. While it is correct that his brain function is in evidence for some portion of the time, I think it is an honest statement that he is in the state of senility, which progresses over time. Do you want this fool as POTUS and his finger on the button to the football? I sure as hell don't!!!
Biden is consistent, and his mental capacity isn't!!! He is beyond being JUST the gaffmeister. That is minimizing his mental deficiency.
Biden and the Dems are the greatest existential threat to the security of the USA!!! The Dems love to use that expression in reference to man made climate change which in my mind is bogus. But it is real in reference to them. They are a serious threat.

It is worth reviewing the entire process for replacing the president as outlined in Section 4, since, if America is dumb enough to elect the Dementiacrat in seven weeks, we’ll all be getting really familiar with it ...

Truthfully,I don't expect there to be any debates. If one DOES get scheduled,look for riots or some other crisis to get it cancelled the day it is supposed to happen.

I agree with this @kevindavis And I think POTUS does, too. He's been saying for weeks that Biden will "do fine" ... "he's been debating for 47 years". POTUS also adds "if Biden just stands there the media will say he was magnificent and won hands down" :laugh:

Trump will make an utter and complete fool out of Biden; Biden obviously suffers from some type of mental decline and half the time makes a complete fool out of himself all on his own. He stumbles over his own thoughts and lately he's very breathless when he speaks.

This idiocy about Biden being senile. And then lying about taking the cognitive assessment test. Right now Trump is alienating older voters. For example, in 2016 Trump beat Clinton among older voters in Florida by over 13 points. Right now he's trailing Biden by four. Trivializing senility and promising to defund Social Security are not positions calculated to attract support among older voters and older voters tend to vote in larger percentages than other demographics. So do women, who Trump is doing nothing to attract. Blacks, who he alienates when he claims racism isn't a thing. Do you need more?

Trump does not do well in debate settings. His schtick from 2016 won't work this time around. Instead he'll be expected to give short answers to specific questions and that is not his strong point. Anyone who has watched his TV interviews or that town hall the other night can see that Trump isn't geared to do that.
