Man pleads guilty to smuggling, harboring illegal immigrants in Maine

A Mexican immigrant arrested in Scarborough has pled guilty to smuggling other illegal immigrants into the country, and faces up to five years in prison.
Silvino Orduna-Cabrera, pleaded guilty last month to bringing in, transporting and harboring two non-U.S. citizens, both of whom are family members, from Mexico and who had previously been barred from re-entering the U.S. The plea agreement was filed in U.S. District Court in Portland Thursday.
