Title: Kim Dotcom: "Let Me Assure You, The DNC Hack Wasn’t Even A Hack"

Kim Dotcom has once again chimed in on the DNC hack, following a Sunday morning tweet from President Trump clarifying his previous comments on Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

In response, Dotcom tweeted "Let me assure you, the DNC hack wasn't even a hack. It was an insider with a memory stick. I know this because I know who did it and why," adding "Special Counsel Mueller is not interested in my evidence. My lawyers wrote to him twice. He never replied. ...

Dotcom's assertion is backed up by an analysis done last year by a researcher who goes by the name Forensicator, who determined that the DNC files were copied at 22.6 MB/s - a speed virtually impossible to achieve from halfway around the world, much less over a local network - yet a speed typical of file transfers to a memory stick.

The local transfer theory of course blows the Russian hacking narrative out of the water, lending credibility to the theory that the DNC "hack" was in fact an inside job, potentially implicating late DNC IT staffer, Seth Rich....

Isn't Seth rich the guy who died in a car accident.

Ah... well... that would explain Rich's untimely and unfortunate demise.   The Clinton Mafia is not to be crossed, or even threatened, after all.

As I've mentioned here before, the so-called "analysis" is a joke.

Simple example:

1) Copy files over the network halfway around the world.  Slow as you like.
2) Copy files to memory stick.
3) Copy files from memory stick to another computer.
4) Run your "analysis" on second computer.

Ah, ha!  Those files were copied at the speed of a memory stick, faster than most home internet users could!

P.S.  22MB/s is not "virtually impossible" from halfway around the world.  It's certainly not difficult for a local network, it's actually rather slow in that case.

Wonder if Mueller is going to bother looking into this while he is on his witch hunt.

Wasn't it outside the Clinton headquarters, supposedly a mugging gone bad?

There's also this... claiming a peak of 38 MB/s

Yes.

Seth Conrad Rich (January 3, 1989 – July 10, 2016) was an American employee of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) who was fatally shot in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, D.C.  As of May 2017 the shooting was still under investigation by the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.   ...

On Sunday, July 10, 2016, at 4:20 a.m., Rich was shot about a block from his apartment in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

Earlier that night he had been at Lou's City Bar, a sports pub 1.8 miles (2.9 km) from his apartment, in Columbia Heights, where he was a regular customer. He left when the bar was closing, at about 1:30 or 1:45 a.m.

Police were alerted to gunfire at 4:20 a.m. by an automated gunfire locator. Within approximately one minute after the gun shots, police officers found Rich conscious with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

According to police, he died from two shots to the back and may have been killed in an attempted robbery, noting that the neighborhood had recently been plagued by robberies. Rich's mother told NBC's Washington affiliate WRC-TV, "There had been a struggle. His hands were bruised, his knees are bruised, his face is bruised, and yet he had two shots to his back, and yet they never took anything ... They didn't finish robbing him, they just took his life."

The police told the family they had found a surveillance videotape showing a glimpse of the legs of two people who could possibly be the killers.  ...

Wonder if Mueller is going to bother looking into this while he is on his witch hunt.

Evidence is mounting he isn't done, until every possible avenue is exhausted for dirt on Trump's side. (witting or unwitting)

I apparently misremembered Mueller's original charter; namely investigate possible Russian tampering with our election(s). I had thought that meant Hillary, too.

This isn't the only person who has stated this wasn't a hack.

Thanks.  That confirms my assumptions about how the analysis was done, and that it is a complete joke.

Thanks for that article, @Sanguine!  It's an important revelation that I had never heard.  (Sessions will be the guy to follow up with Kim Dotcom;  Assange will also fit pieces into the puzzle when he finally gets here in the U.S.)

Methinks that DWS could be indicted for at least the conspiracy to murder Seth Rich (plus some others in Florida, I suspect).  Maybe she would start singing.

Shouldn't the fact that Mueller (apparently) never made a referral of Kim Dotcom's claim be used against Mueller?  (Or maybe, he referred it to the FBI--where the truth goes to die, as someone has said recently!)

Nope, "randomly" murdered on the street in DC, wallet untouched.
