Antifa has seized control of the Portland State University library. The universities cultivated the precise environment for this to happen. Let them own the pro-Hamas Left.

As if they would know what to do with the contents of a library.  Like the brown shirts from the 1920s, I’m sure they’re tempted to burn the books.

Your Wasted Salad Greens Are Contributing to Climate Change

Food waste – uneaten scraps or leftovers sent to landfills – is responsible for 10% of global emissions. Mill, a new product from the co-founder of Nest, thinks technology can play a role in eliminating it.

I have adopted a “it’s all in God’s hands” approach to this election when it comes to the presidential election.

I have done the same. This is too big for us mere mortals to repair.

I'm not sure either of these characterizations is true. I have yet to see scientific evidence of its medicinal value, though I'd certainly read it if I ever saw it. I'm trying to keep an open mind.

That's too bad, so sad. Incarcerate them. The students who are US citizens should spend some time in the hoose-gow as well. The students that aren't citizens should be deported. The universities should change their policies and make them "No Protest Zones". There is an absolute right to protest...but not on school grounds where many different people pay to attend.

From a parent's stand point, I would talk to my child and make sure that they understand what they are actually protesting. If they do and persist, that's fine. I will no longer subsidize you. If you choose to do this it will be on your dime not mine. I am paying for you to get an education and you evidently aren't.
Incarcerate? How many of them proclaimed themselves to be terrorist? Revoke whatever visas or green cards and send them back to whatever shithole they came here from, I suggest Gaza since they are so enamored of Hamas who by the way is in need of cannon fodder. For any that proclaim themselves members of Hamas or any other terrorist organization, if American citizens I think there should be a penalty of citizenship revoked and free trip to the home of their chosen terrorists.

Arizona Senate votes to repeal 1864 abortion law, sending measure to governor’s desk

.

Arizona state senators successfully passed a measure to repeal the state’s near-total 1864 abortion ban following a heated and emotional voting session.

Two Republican state senators, Shawnna Bolick and T.J. Shope, joined Democrats in a 16-14 vote in favor of repealing the measure. The House passed an identical bill in the lower chamber last week, also with several Republican crossover votes.

The Civil War-era law was upheld by the state Supreme Court in April and came into effect due to a complicated sequence of legal events, supplanting a measure enacted in 2022 that would have precluded the procedure after 15 weeks of gestation.

The bill is slated to head to Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-AZ), who is expected to sign it into law expeditiously

I spend quite a bit of time in state prisons with a ministry outreach. The vast majority of the residents have drug addiction issues and the vast majority of them started out with marijuana.  Correlations isn't causation, and there are obviously a LOT of environmental / "hood culture" issues as well, but drugs are a huge part of the spiral.
