Boy, Never saw this one coming from that stuffed shirt Woody.
Famed Watergate journalist Bob Woodward blasted CNN for suing the Trump administration over its suspension of Jim Acosta’s press credentials, according to a report.
“Too many people for Trump or against Trump have become emotionally unhinged about this,†Woodward said at the Global Financial Leadership Conference in Naples, Florida, on Tuesday, according to Fox News.
“The remedy [isn’t a lawsuit],†argued Woodward, whose explosive tell-all “Fear†described a White House in disarray. “It’s more serious reporting about what he’s doing.â€
The cable news network filed a lawsuit in US District Court in Washington, DC, seeking to have the White House correspondent’s so-called “hard pass†restored after he was banned for tussling with an intern during a news conference with President Trump.
Woodward said that CNN was taking the president’s “bait†by hiring high-profile attorney Ted Olson to pursue the federal case.
“This is a negative,†he said. “Trump is sitting around saying, ‘This is great!’â€
CNN’s lawsuit alleges that the White House violated Acosta’s First and Fifth Amendment rights by penalizing him for the content of his speech without providing notice or due process.

Woody is looking at this through the lenses of politics, and he is correct...CNN is playing into Trump's hand.

That's about as rare as a unicorn. I have put Judge Napolitano on the naughty list. He's wrong on this.

Nappy hasn't been correct on anything in years. I have no idea why FNC bothers having him on anymore.

That is the Gods honest truth. The dye that man uses on his hair has degraded his mental ability.

Napalitno is a contrarian. I quit listening to his opinion long ago. But who knows...maybe that is his function?

He's been neutered since he returned from his forced leave for saying something or other that his bosses didn't like.
He should have just retired.

Jim Acosta walked into a federal courthouse in D.C. on Wednesday, seeking an emergency order that would grant him immediate White House access. The court hasn't ruled yet.

Woodward on CNN: Remedy isn't a lawsuit, 'it's more serious reporting'
By Joe Concha - 11/13/18 02:16 PM EST
Watergate reporting icon Bob Woodward argued that the remedy to President Trump’s decision to revoke Jim Acosta’s White House press credentials isn’t a lawsuit, “it’s more serious reporting about what he’s doing.â€
Woodward made the remark at the Global Financial Leadership Conference in Naples, Fla.
“In the news media there has been an emotional reaction to Trump,†Woodward said, later adding, “Too many people for Trump or against Trump have become emotionally unhinged about this.â€

What? Do work AND the right thing? No way.

The pro-Acosta people would have a point if they could point to the section of the constitution saying journalists cannot be denied access to the WH.
Acosta's right to report the news isn't being inhibited. He's not being silenced. It's just that he can't enter the WH.
It's no different than the president not answering questions from certain reporters.
If the president refuses to answer a question from a reporter, is he inhibiting their right to free speech?
I think not.
