I don't like Romney either, but he is 100% correct that this would have been the smarter move for Biden politically.  Although he's wrong in suggesting that Biden should have pressured the NY DA to drop that prosecution.  Pardon him for the two federal offenses would make Biden appear more fair, magnanimous, and "above" Trump.  Then point out that even as President, he has no power over the New York prosecution and civil cases(s).  He gets all the benefit of granting the pardon while Trump still gets prosecuted in a way that has no blowback for Biden.

Would have been a brilliant move politically, but the Dems are too filled with TDS to do it.

The OH-58 has been around since the early 60s, though I'm sure the "F" model is more capable and reliable than the version that first entered service. The Same can be said of the venerable AH-1, which I think is currently at Rev "Z". Sometimes something is just so good that the improvements in a new model are not significant enough to buy the new model.

Moderators have a ton of power, and the questioning and ground rules will favor Biden.  They'll likely be kept short as well.

I would not be at all confident that these debates will help Trump.  I actually expect the opposite.  They'll be timed and managed in a way that makes Biden appear at least moderately coherent.  And given who is running them, I'd be about 99% sure that the substance of the questions to Biden, if not the exact wording, will be leaked to his campaign in plenty of time for them to provide scripted answers that he will rehearse.

Modern SSKs are far better than WW2-vintage Balao or Tench class (or earlier) boats, but they still need to recharge batteries, and they still need to refuel vastly more often than an SSN or SSBN. SSKs are probably OK if your area of concern is just the Baltic, Black, or, maybe, North and Mediterranean Seas. But if your area of concern is the Atlantic Ocean or all the world's oceans, SSKs aren't up to snuff.

FBI warns ISIS could attack Pride parades amid Biden's border crisis

The FBI has issued an alert warning that Pride events in the US in June may be targeted by ISIS and other foreign terrorist organizations.


"Foreign terrorist organizations or supporters may seek to exploit increased gatherings associated with the upcoming June 2024 Pride Month," the alert, issued by the FBI and DHS, warned.


The warning explained foreign terrorist organizations' (FTOs) efforts to "commit or inspire violence against holiday celebrations, including Pride celebrations or LGBTQIA+-related venues, are compounded by the current heightened threat environment in the United States and other Western countries."

"FTOs and their supporters have previously promoted anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric and targeted LGBTQIA+ related events or venues for attacks," it added.

I seriously doubt that Murphy cared whether the men in his unit that he covered with the M2 on an M10 TD were Hispanic or Native American. They were his men. OTOH, I'm pretty sure that the Germans he  killed had no Hispanics or Native Americans among them.

But that's not the kind of thinking that racist idiots of any skin color would do.
