Trump's SOTU reveals the angry ladies of the left

Trump's SOTU speech was wonderful, factual and optimistic. It was a celebration of America and the successes of the last two years. No one would know it by the visible response of the ladies in white (allegedly an homage to women's suffrage), the mostly newly elected Democrat congresswomen. The only part of the speech they sincerely applauded was themselves – more women in Congress. For most of the rest of the speech, they sat on their hands, looking mad (Mazie Hirono), glum (all of them), petulant and dismissive (Kamala Harris), bored and studiously disinterested (Nancy Pelosi). Pelosi, along with Schumer, the rudest person in Congress ever, seemed to be masticating something throughout the entire speech. Her bizarre mouth movements are as annoying as they are distracting.
These angry women could not have better demonstrated who and what the Democratic Party is today. As many have observed, this is not the party of JFK. It is the party of Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler. Those women could not even stand to oppose late-term, post-birth abortion. As Planned Parenthood has been for years, these Democrat women are now in Hitler territory. Next they will be supporting the euthanasia of the elderly. Obamacare tried to do exactly that. That is the slippery slope they have willingly created for themselves. Trump's speech forced them to reveal their callous, murderous agenda for all to see.

If that is the best argument the "Right" has, it will fail IMO.
(Just as it did with Trump, for that matter).

The article on this thread is a good summary of why Trump needed to use the SOTU presentation to speak directly to the American people. The public address last night was a pretty devastating step of what Trump plans to do to the Dems (over the next few months, I believe).
(Full disclosure: I don't like political speeches anymore than you do. [I have never listened to any more than a few minutes of any given SOTU address.] However, we mustn't extrapolate our personal distastes (and even disdain) for most political speechifying to say that the POTUS should not avail himself of access to the bulliest of bully pulpits. We needed Trump to be Reaganesque, and he pulled it off.)

I normally don't watch speeches. This was the first speech that I can remember watching since 'W' addressed the nation after 9-11. I was pleasantly surprised. Watching the reaction of the DEMS was not unexpected, but I still found it disturbing. President Trump deserves a huge round of applause and a huge pat on the back. He not only pulled it off, but his message was crystal clear that he wasn't going to take crap from anyone becasue his job is to serve the people.

No doubt that it was a good speech. He delivered it well. And whoever wrote hit it out of the park. Most of the points were things that ALL people should have applauded. The Dems looked stupid and petulant.

ALL should have applauded on most issues. It's pretty bad when the Speaker of the House nods to all the ladies in white and then they begin to applaud. They looked like a bunch of ding dongs that didn't know what they truly stand for other than opposing anything Trump said. He has a tremendous record of accomplishment so far and if the only thing that they are running on is socialism and opposing Trump they will lose.

Perhaps, but I felt his message that "Victory is not winning for our party, it is winning for our country" was well delivered and I believe he did a good job in pointing out that the DEMS are the obstructionists and the GOP is the party of accomplishments.
