Y'know, Ilhan, your people call for the annihilation of all Jews. That kinda smacks of genocide.

I should add that the result of this tactic will be to weaken the conservative elements within the conference.

Such a bunch of petulant children. This is the "participation trophy" generation.

Unless you have a majority of the conference behind a specific replacement Speaker, you don't remove a sitting Speaker in the middle of the term.  For rather obvious reasons.

A fundraiser aiming to throw a “rager” for the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, fraternity brothers who protected the American flag from pro-Palestinian protesters has raised tens of thousands of dollars.

The effort was launched on Wednesday morning and has already raised over $65,000. The members of UNC’s Pi Kappa Phi fraternity protected the U.S. flag after it was replaced by the Palestinian flag by protesters and intervened when the protesters were “preparing to destroy it,” according to Guillermo Estrada, one of the students who helped protect the flag.

but it upset me that my country's flag was disrespected in order to advocate for another.

Shortly after, Chancellor Roberts came with police officers to hang the flag once again. They were met with profanity, middle fingers, thrown bottles, rocks, and water.

The fundraiser page noted that the men from UNC’s Pi Kappa Phi who protected the flag “gave the best to America and now they deserve the best.”

Estrada posted on X that while he is not fully educated on the conflict between Israel and Hamas, he was “immediately upset” that the Palestinian protesters had disrespected his country’s flag “in order to advocate for another.” As such, he and a fellow fraternity brother, along with several other men, prevented the flag from falling on the ground and did so for an hour despite the protesters throwing rocks, sticks, and other items at them.

“My parents started a new life in the United States, a country that has helped them flourish and raise two kids,” Estrada posted. “I grew up in a Military community and saw first hand the sacrifices they make. I will not stand for the disrespect these ‘protestors’ cause for the sake of another country.”

What a $hitshow.  This is what has become of the GOP under the direction of Trump and his supporters.

Don't expect anything to change in the next 4 years, regardless of the outcome of the election later this year.

I have adopted a “it’s all in God’s hands” approach to this election when it comes to the presidential election.

It was super dumb to get rid of McCarthy.  At least he could fundraise.

We do need more pro growth policies, but number one is across the board spending cuts and entitlement reform.

And since neither candidate is serious about fixing this problem, expect many more years of sluggish growth and high inflation. The days of low interest rates and using government spending to boost  GDP numbers are over

In other words, we are bleep
