Can you still view videos on Youtube without signing in
Sighlass:
Today I am completely blocked out of Youtube it seems unless I "sign-in" to allow them to put a cookie on my computer to follow me around the internet and sell my data. My VPN seems useless to bypass their fake "anti-bot" campaign excuse.
Even the music threads here on TBR seem to only show up the demand I sign-in.
Anyone have a workabout... in the past refreshing the page has worked, but not now. Seems Oct. 15 was my last Youtube day... because I refuse to sign-in and allow Google to spy on my viewing habits.
Sighlass:
I guess I forgot to put an option that you can use youtube but you don't use a VPN (thus you are not signed-in, but you use your real IP address which Youtube records and uses to follow you around the internet).

I watch youtube (premium) on my Roku TV. Youtube is now one of my most watched channels.
There is Youtube-TV which I have heard great things about it. However it is too expensive for me compared to other options.
But yes, now, to my great surprise, I LOVE watching Youtube as a television channel.
Sky News, The Charismatic Voice, and so much more. Watch it all the time.
Ghost Bear:
What locale is your VPN showing to YouTube? It may be one that has passed digital ID type laws, like the UK, and that may be forcing the login.
When I use the YouTube app on my Roku TV, it doesn't require a login. But, you have to look for the option to avoid logging in (they don't make it obvious). I'm able to play videos while logged out on my web browser too. I'm in the US, and not using a VPN.
Timber Rattler:
Yes, you can watch videos as a 'guest' without having an account or signing in. I do it every day.
