Caracas, Venezuela (CNN) -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called Friday on the United States to exchange ambassadors just days after expelling three American diplomats from the country.
The request came during an hours-long news conference aired on state-run TV, where Maduro called on President Barack Obama to begin talks, even as he repeatedly accused the United States of interfering in Venezuelan internal affairs and stoking sometimes violent anti-government protests in recent days.
"I call for a dialogue with you, Obama," Maduro said. "You can designate (U.S. Secretary of State John) Kerry or whoever you want to come to this dialogue and I will send my foreign minister ... for this high-level meeting."
Unless obammie can get political gain from this I think nothing will happen. Then again Venezuela is the a model of what obamie and his ilk would like to see happen to USA, so maybe he will help his like minded brethren.

We are not at war with them, why would they want "talks" with O other than perhaps to ask him to help prop up his failing government.

This guy is filming Maduro's announcing that things are under control on TV, while military police shoot canisters of tear gas into people's homes outside his window.
Then they shoot one into his apartment.

I hope this happens in Cuba real soon...

I hope this happens in Cuba real soon...
Obama and the Dems won't allow that to happen in their dream state of Cuba.

So are we looking at the beginnings of a "Latino Spring" all over South America that ends up being a contest between the various Armies and the Drug Cartels to see who can slaughter the most civilians??
And John Fing Kerry is the last damned thing anyone needs anywhere in South America. The man is a joke and his boss is widely viewed as having no gonads. All Kerry can possibly do is make things worse. If Kerry shows his ass anywhere in Venezuela he is just as likely to get it shot.
Another Obama legacy project....

I can only hope and pray for Venezuela.
