My first day as a grad student on the Wash. U. campus, I nearly turned around and went home. The groups vying for students to join them included more than a few communist organizations. It was a real culture shock for someone who went to a Christian university for undergrad. A large percentage of my classmates and professors were Jewish. I wonder what they think now of their alma mater.

Two years ago, I said Biden would issue a climate emergency.

https://www.cfact.org/2022/06/10/declaration-of-climate-emergency-looming/

One can argue that any forecast is a matter of time. However, this is not the case here. It would have to come from a phony climate war agenda, and that is only the domain of the people in power now. A tool to keep power.

But looking back, waiting until this election year is the perfect strategy. Why? If your goal is to cause chaos and confusion, what better way than to continue using issues that are cases of deception, distortion, and delusion ( another blog I wrote) to do this?

But I do not believe it is to win votes. There are simply too many people now who are seeing this for what it is. So what is the motive?

It may be to get you to snap out. We are watching the ignorance on display in the kind of chaos that is evolving. It’s one thing after another, and it is all linked. But I have always maintained that it is the climate card that will push things over the edge. And it appears the White House is getting ready to play it. And if I am right about this hurricane season (even if I am not right, remember Hillary Clinton was the Inspiration for the term Weaponization of Weather when she took a run of mill cat 1 hurricane in 2016, hitting Florida at the peak of the hurricane season and used that as an example of climate change, an amazing display of sheer ignorance that she and her compatriots routinely now exceed if you know what is going on), they will use any storm never mind the 3-5 majors we think will impact the US. That forecast is not based on climate change but on understanding the global pattern. The western Pacific, for instance, home to the greatest amount of activity, is liable to have yet another near-record low year. You will hear nothing about that, though.

Major NY wind projects recently cancelled, but media spin at full-power

In the Politico article “Major offshore wind projects in New York canceled in latest blow to industry”, the author, Marie J. French, admits “New York’s signature offshore wind projects meant to boost confidence in the industry are being scrapped, a major hit to the industry in the state and the nation”. But are the Greens listening, comprehending?

Then, a Wall Street Journal article, “Gone with the New York Wind. Three more offshore windmill projects hit the rocks, despite subsidies”, asks “Is offshore wind a perennial infant industry?” Ouch!

Finally, some are waking up, seeing the reality over the hype. (May this become a trend.) But why have the officials deciding on these projects been turning a blind eye to the negatives. It’s $$$$$. The honey trap of most officialdom.

The Government Is Gearing Up To Declare A ‘Climate Emergency,’ Which Will Wipe Out What’s Left Of Our Freedoms
By  Matt Walsh

Apr 25, 2024   DailyWire.com

For several years now, it’s been clear that the Biden administration has been thinking about officially declaring a “climate emergency.” Beginning on the day Biden took office, several politicians have floated the possibility — and some have gone further than that.

The Democrats’ leader in the Senate, Chuck Schumer, publicly called on Biden to make the declaration within a week of his inauguration. And ever since then, there have been articles and deep-dives in various outlets, including Politico and The New York Times, suggesting that it’d be a really good idea to essentially go to war with the weather.

As of now, as his term winds down, Joe Biden has resisted all of these demands. Biden has said that he’s “practically” declared a climate emergency — signaling that he likes the idea — but he hasn’t actually gone ahead and done it. Even so, the demands have kept coming for several years — which is a little odd, when you think about it. The definition of the word “emergency” is: “a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.” The very fact that you have to deliberate for three years about whether something is an emergency would seem to indicate that it is not.

CNN: Ford just reported a massive loss on every electric vehicle it sold – ‘Losses soared’ in first 3 months of 2024 ‘to $1.3 billion, or $132,000 for each of the 10,000 vehicles it sold’

Despite the EV losses, Ford CEO Jim Farley said in a call with investors the company is making changes in its EV business, and that the company’s planned next generation of EVs will allow it to be profitable on that business in the near future.

Ford Pro, which primarily sells traditional internal combustion vehicles, was the primary profit driver for Ford in the quarter, posting EBIT of $3 billion, or more than double what it made a year ago, as revenue from the unit rose 36% to $18 billion. The number of vehicles sold by Ford Pro was up 21% to 409,000.

On Tuesday Tesla, the world’s largest EV maker, reported that its adjusted earnings plunged 48% in the first quarter as revenue fell 9%, after it reported the first year-over-year drop in sales since the pandemic.

New Mexico Spends Millions On Solar Projects, Has No Idea How Much Power They’ll Generate
by David Mastio

New Mexico’s Economic Development Department announced plans this month to spend millions of dollars on “energy transition” projects [to meet climate change metrics and create jobs]. [emphasis, links added]

The only problem is she doesn’t know how much they will help in meeting those goals or how many jobs they will create.

According to a statement from the department, it has funded nearly $6 million for “four projects that will diversify the economy and create jobs unrelated to fossil fuel development or use.”

The projects are part of an effort “to achieve 50 percent renewable energy by 2030 and 80 percent by 2040, with accompanying targets for utilities and co-ops to reach zero-carbon resources by 2045 and 2050, respectively.”

New Document Release Reveals Greens Engaging in Fraud to Deceive Ministers and Push German Nuclear Phase-Out
BY EUGYPPIUS 27 APRIL 2024 9:00 AM

All of our countries are crazy in various ways, but when it comes to energy policy Germany is an undisputed champion of crazy.

In 2011, a tsunami caused the Fukushima nuclear disaster. If you check a map, you’ll notice that Fukushima is in a country called Japan, which it turns out is a different country from Germany. The Fukushima disaster had zero to do with the Federal Republic, but then-Chancellor Angela Merkel felt the need to solve the problem of Fukushima by phasing out nuclear power in Germany, even though tsunamis and earthquakes are not a problem in Germany, because Germany is a country in Central Europe and not an island nation in Asia.

That is crazy enough, but it gets much crazier. Months before announcing the nuclear phase-out, Merkel’s Government had passed energy transition legislation to secure Germany’s path towards a zero-emissions future. We resolved to ditch our most significant source of emissions-free power, in other words, just months after resolving an energy transition to emissions-free power. At this point you would be justified in wondering if Germany suffers from some kind of shamanistic cultural phobia of electricity in general, that is how crazy this is. These insane choices had the near-term consequence of increasing our dependence on Russian natural gas. Otherwise, they ensured that power generation in Germany would be vastly more expensive than necessary and also vastly more carbon intensive than necessary.

Climate Change Weekly #504: Climate Solutions Cause Environmental Damage and Hazards
10 hours ago

Climate Solutions Cause Environmental Damage and Hazards

The Heartland Institute has detailed myriad ways in which big government environmental “fixes” either make the problems identified worse, or created unintended environmental or human health consequences that are worse than the original problem the government solution—law, regulation, executive order, or advisory opinion—was meant to solve.

Across nearly four decades, The Heartland Institute and our allies in the free market environmental movement have shown that—contrary to the rhetoric of ill-informed, ignorant youths protesting in the streets and on campuses today, collectivist environmental shills, and corporate green-washers and crony capitalists—market economies, built on well-defined and defended property rights, produce better environmental outcomes than authoritarian or closed economies. After the Iron Curtain fell, the world saw the environmental disasters produced by the Soviet government both within Russia and in its vassal states. The air and water quality in China is another daily reminder of the perils of communism for human well-being and the environment.

In the United States and abroad, endangered species continue to be imperiled by the perverse incentives created by the laws meant to protect them, while they thrive under systems where they are owned.
