NCAA Could Pull Tournaments if Oklahoma Passes Transgender Bill
Penny Starr 13 Apr 2021
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is threatening to pull events from states trying to protect female athletes from transgender competition, including Oklahoma.
Lawmakers in Oklahoma are debating the Save Women’s Sports Act. On Monday, the NCAA threatened states who are considering similar measures with losing lucrative tournament contracts. That means Oklahoma’s contract to host the Women’s College World Series until 2035 could be in jeopardy.
“When determining where championships are held, NCAA policy directs that only locations where hosts can commit to providing an environment that is safe, healthy, and free of discrimination should be selected,†a statement issued on Monday said. “We will continue to closely monitor these situations to determine whether NCAA championships can be conducted in ways that are welcoming and respectful of all participants.â€
As Breitbart News reported, the NCAA Board of Governors made the announcement as legislatures in more than two dozen states propose, debate, and advance legislation aimed at requiring state schools to ensure that athletes compete in the category of their assigned birth gender.

F the NCAA, cancel everything for all I care.
-
Note to NCAA:
There is no such thing on this planet as a transgendered person! There are however many emotionally disturbed people who think they can alter what their gender is by mutilating their bodies. Those people need help!

Yet the NCAA continues to keep its headquarters in a city named with a derogatory term for Native Americans.

I totally agree. These corps, Hollywood personalities and sports franchises poking their noses in these issues are beginning to annoy me.
-
I'd hate to see Oklahoma sue them under antitrust law and win. Again.

Isn't this why Gov. Noem wanted the legislature to come up with a better bill?
-
No interest in college sports.
None.
It would be better if colleges terminated sports, and concentrated on education.
REAL education -- not psuedo-communist indoctrination.

If you look behind the curtain, you find out that the chief operating officer is also the chief legal counsel. Unusual to have someone with only legal expertise be running a large organization. Means it prioritizes lawsuits and legal issues instead of simply sports, which is their mission.

Of what use is the NCAA in protecting and promoting WOMEN'S sports? When they are OK with and actually assist males pretending to be female and allowing them to steal woman athletes place in record books and also steal scholarships from women in the name of some phony baloney social justice bullshit than they are simply corrupt.

e'f the NCAA. They need to go.

They've really turned Title IX on its head. When will female athletes (and the usual media-hungry lawyers like Gloria Allred) set aside the "we support trannies" woke nonsense and fight for their rights?
