Canada's Last Intact Arctic Ice Shelf Just Collapsed
Milne Ice Shelf lost an area larger than the size of Manhattan and two resulting islands are now dangerously floating in the ocean, scientists say.

The Canadian Arctic’s last fully intact ice shelf has collapsed, losing almost half of its area—larger than the borough of Manhattan—in just two days, scientists say.
Milne Ice Shelf is located off the northern coast of Ellesmere Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, a northern Canadian territory home to some 40,000 people, mostly Inuit. Canadian Ice Services said above normal temperatures, offshore winds, and open water in front of the ice shelf caused the calving event over July 30-31.
The ice shelf lost 43 percent of its area or about 80 square kilometers, Reuters reported. The entire borough of Manhattan has an area of about 60 square kilometers.

activist-scientists and their MSM lapdogs have been upping their obfuscating game of late, painting the collapse of a tiny 190 square kilometres ice shelf in northern Canada (Milne) as a catastrophe for all mankind. However, what these frauds fail to mention is the anomalously-low summer melt occurring at the world’s largest island. Greenland‘s ice sheet covers a whopping 1.7 million square kilometres, and so gains/lower-than-average-melt here EASILY offset Milne’s comparatively paltry losses.
The MSM never offers any context, and so the masses never know any better.
