I don't remember Rip Tide.
You shouldn't remember any of them if you are as young as you say you are.
Wish the jackass who did the poll would have put an "all of the above" option. Each show was special in it's own way, but since I have to choose I will go with Riptide because Joe Penny went on to be in Jake and the Fatman.

I second the call for 'all of the above'...
And what, no Rockford Files?

Didn't that end in 79 or 80? These are all 80's gems listed.

I remember Simon and Simon and Magnum being together for a spell. Not the Rockford Files. I have a book I picked up 20 years ago that has every network schedule from the late 40's to the late 90's listed. I'll have to see if our fuzzy memories are right.

Yeah... Long ago, and far away.
And there's Cannon, and Starsky and Hutch, and Fall Guy, and Columbo... And what was that Telly Savalis one? He's always walking around with a sucker in his gab...

Kojak. Who Loves Ya Baby.
LOL! That's right... Heck, if there was anything as good as all that on the cable, I'd still be watching it.
-
Dang y'all, what about Buck Rogers and TJ Hooker and Charlie's Angels and Hunter and CHiPs?

I haven't watched a network show in years. I do either buy on DVD the old series or find them on line streaming. I found a shady website where some questionably legal stuff is trafficked. Picked up a super rare one season only Burt Reynolds cop series called Dan August with Norman Fell. It's awesome.

Buck Rogers wasn't a Cop/Detective show.
Charlies Angels was the 70's
The other 3 are acceptable.

Charlie's Angels was on until 1981. :tongue2:

Yeah, but most of it was in the 70's. All the shows Wing put up started in the 80's.

I don't see how there can even be a question:

You're missing Hardcastle and McCormick too.
Peirce Brosnan had a really bad spy/cop show in the 80's too.
-
Simon and Simon went to 1999? Really? I thought that was the Major Dad guy?

Captain Trunk: [Trunk watches Hammer attach something to the barrel of his gun] Is that a silencer?
Sledge Hammer: No, it's not a silencer. This little doodad is my own invention. I call it a loudener.

Remington Steele was a decent show. Stephanie Zimbalist was hot by 80's standards.

Who dat?
The chick on Fall Guy.
-
I wish I could change my vote now that you added Jessica Fletcher.
Be interested to know who people liked in the 70s and 90s....(poll ideas?)
-
The chick on Fall Guy.
Oh Yeah. The guy with the truck and the chicken decal on the hood.
Nice seat cover!
-
Tough call, but I'll have to go with "Moonlighting", just because the script-writing was so incredibly good.
-
I don't see how there can even be a question:
