Mosh Pit Politics: When politics stopped being delivered and started being lived
By Luis Gonzalez for The Last Wire
Trump’s political style is usually described as chaotic, disruptive, even “ugly.”
But what if that “ugliness” was actually adaptation?
This piece explores how modern politics stopped functioning like carefully managed institutional theater and started behaving more like a live feedback loop: emotional, immediate, participatory, and impossible to fully control.
What critics experienced as disorder, supporters experienced as proximity.
Politics stopped being delivered from above.
It started being lived in real time.

That's "Mr." Ugly American to you. But seriously though, my older son took a tour of Europe with his long board several years back. I think he hit France, Germany, Poland, and Spain. Everywhere he went, the locals were gracious to him. They explained that no matter how badly the ugly-type Americans could behave, they were still better than English soccer fans.

Life, itself, can be ugly and vulgar.
When those in power stop listening to those whom they govern, what's the point of the unwashed deplorable masses being polite and civil? Civility becomes submission to those who want to control speech, thought, debate, and agendas.
Children and pets act out when their needs are not being met.
The needs of law-abiding, working American citizens haven't been met for a long time by the instiutions that alleged serve them and are run by their alleged representatives.
American politics is no longer a choice between Coke or Pepsi; we're left having to choose bewteen RC-Cola and Dr. Pepper. As a Pepsi drinker, why the hell should my choices be limited without my consent by paternalist elites?
I'm not buying what both party establishments are selling. If I have to pelt them with (rhetorical) rotten eggs and spoiled vegetables to get their attention, that's on them - not on me. Their willful blindness and their willful deafness is a choice they make to disrepect and to dismiss me because I am not conforming/submitting to their (false) narratives.
They don't want unity; they want conformity.
They don't want consensus; they want obedience.
We tried being nice, and they mistook that for submission and acquiesence.
The real ugly Americans are those who attempt to sanitize speech, thought, and debate.
