Joe Biden’s Average Approval Rating Well Below Historic Reelection Threshold
Wendell Husebø 22 Mar 2024
President Joe Biden’s average approval rating is well below the historic threshold for the incumbent to win reelection.
RealClearPolitic’s average of Biden’s approval rating stands at 40.3 percent, while 56.3 percent disapprove of the president.
His approval rating is lower than the three previous presidents’ ratings in March during the fourth year of their first terms: Trump 44.3, Obama 47.5, Bush 50.1:

Biden’s 40 percent approval rating is well below the 50 percent threshold incumbents historically require to win reelection. Gallup reported several key reelection indicators:
50 percent or higher approval ratings renders Biden a safe bet for reelection
Two presidents with approval ratings below 40 percent lost reelection
Between June and Election Day, approval ratings do not change much

"Thresholds" don't count when The Party has its "apparatus" working for it (both underground and above-ground)...

No more than 'bell weather states' did last time. Funny how historical trends get all mommicked up when someone monkeys with the count.

So what? In today's politics, the party that controls the most counts wins. Notice I said counts, not votes.
-
The problem with this polling data is that only potential voters are being polled. The pollsters should be polling ballots - not voters. Big difference.

They’re also polling only living voters, also
The dead may have a very different opinion on Biden’s job performance

His performance dropped (again) to some number higher than polled previously?
'The chocolate ration has been increased from 10 grams to 5 grams.' Thank Big Brother.
Enough of this Orwellian bullshit. Polls are just used to set the point spread in the minds of the populace. Even liberals should see gas prices going up again, and I doubt their organic, sustainably sourced, cage free tofu is any cheaper.

Biden being below historical averages doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know - both of these guys are unpopular.
-
How either candidate gets over 25% approval is beyond me.

Getting to be the ones that control the courts...

Both will get over 40% of the vote come Nov

I beleive RFK, Jr. would be polling better, except behind the scenes Biden is using Trump tactics to squash his rebellion within the party/ideology.
In any sane world there should be a Perrot like alternative skimming off 20-30% of the voters who are seriously disgusted with the choice of candidates that mimics choosing between 2 terminal illnesses.
