Donald Trump has launched a joint fundraising committee with the Republican National Committee (RNC) to raise money.
The committee, Trump National Committee JFC, filed a statement of organization with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) on Wednesday.
Former president Donald Trump took charge of the Republican National Committee this week with the political equivalent of shock and awe — leaving dozens out of work, revamping strategic priorities and raising fears among some former officials about the party’s future support for down-ballot candidates.

As for the RNC, in November 2023, the GOP governing body reported its lowest bank balance at that point in any year since 2016, disclosures to the Federal Election Commission showed. With $9.96 million in spending money, the RNC had less than half the $21.35 million it reported in the year Trump won the presidential election.
Earlier this month, Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, and his ally Michael Whatley were elected as co-chair and chair of the RNC. Lara Trump vowed the RNC would spend money paying for Trump's legal fees.

Lovely! Why should voters be on the hook for Trump's legal fees??? There is little regard for those running down ballot -- without a majority in at least one of the houses, Trump's presidency would be even rockier than the first. :thud:

Lara already stated that RNC funds will go to his legal fees. With him having to come up with such an astronomical amount of money to prevent them seizing his property, how much do you think is going to go to those down ballot? So in looking at the big picture, the DEMS have already won.
This is yet another reason to only donate to individual candidates rather than any entity under the Republican umbrella.
