The wine shade Mrs. Obama chose is a rich tone without any jarring aspect and her opting for wide-leg pants and a turtleneck is undoubtedly more flattering for her than the traditional dress.
Most chic is the large matching belt with its gold hardware and structured floor-length overcoat. A pair of leather boots rather than scuffed black suede heels — to match her black leather gloves — could have made this ensemble an A+. ...

Looking at some of the Leftist Fascist websites, there is not much joy out there.
Very few are 'praising' Kamala and crazy Joe.
Most of the posts are still, even now, even as he is leaving, most of the posts are still just slamming Trump.
Trump HATE is the driving emotion of the day. Biden is just a stupid afterthought that they don't want to talk about.
They got Trump out by fraud. Democrats replaced Trump with China.
Liberals will all, all of them will regret that choice in less than a year.

President-elect Joe Biden was thrilled this morning to see his close friend Corn Pop at inauguration festivities early.
With crowds severely limited for the 2021 presidential inauguration, Biden and Kamala Harris had to be more thoughtful than ever about who they invited.In addition to family, Biden decided to invite one of his oldest and dearest friends – Corn Pop.
“After a hard 2020, a contentious election season, and realizing Hunter is a complete and utter moron, it’s nice to have friends around on such an important day,†Biden said. “I am pound sign blessed as the kids say.â€

Near the end of Joe Biden’s inauguration, 22-year-old Amanda Gorman offered a poem called “The Hill We Climb†to punctuate the event. She performed extremely well, and her poem was powerful and quite nicely written. But it was something more than that. Hers were the most honest remarks of the day in terms of what the American left actually believes.
These lines stood out as rather important, especially compared to the other speakers:We’ve seen a force that would shatter our nation rather than share it,
Would destroy our country if it meant delaying democracy.
And this effort very nearly succeeded.
But while democracy can be periodically delayed,
It can never be permanently defeated.
... One of the nice things about writing a poem as opposed to a speech is that double meanings are encouraged. In this case, we have to ask, was the “force that would shatter our nation†limited to the attackers of the Capitol? Or does it refer to Trump supporters more generally? The answer to that question may well depend on what side of the aisle you are on. But for many or even most progressives, it is assuredly the latter.
That these more extreme ideas would be expressed more directly in a poem than in Biden’s speech makes sense and is telling. Biden is still walking the line he has for two years now between the woke sensibilities of the progressive left and the more traditional views of most Democratic voters outside of progressive bastions. ...

Normally my hubby watches a lot of TV during the day -- the past two days he's been out working in the garage and on his motorcycle. Probably a good thing ... watching someone like Biden just might get something thrown at the TV and/or raising his blood pressure.

My father had early onset dementia. Faulty depth perception was one of his symptoms.
