Title: Thursday’s Coronavirus Updates: 17,192 new cases
Post by: libertybele on December 31, 2020, 08:59:36 pm
Tourist season is here and our numbers are rising...but I am still hoping that DeSantis refuses to shut us down again.  Looking at the numbers (if I'm calculating correcting) our death rate out of those tested is around 1%.  Hospitalization is around 4% of those testing positive.  Death rate of 1% is not worth closing down the entire state!!  3 counties have the most COVID cases in the entire state...they are open as well.

Thursday’s Coronavirus Updates: 17,192 new cases, 127 new deaths reported

As of 2 p.m. Thursday, there have been 1,323,315 positive cases of the coronavirus recorded in the state. The case count includes 1,300,528 Florida residents and 22,787 non-Florida residents. There are 21,673 Florida resident deaths reported, 317 non-resident deaths, and 62,868 hospitalizations at some point during illness, according to the Florida Department of Health.
