This is the new propaganda, and I have little doubt that the crowds could be manipulated into violence and self-destruction at the hands of those who would defend themselves against unwarranted attack.
A few carefully planted and coordinated accounts with some well made video and chaos could be created almost anywhere.

You misunderstand the point. The free flow of propaganda is what it is -- whoever creates it is unaccountable: there is no way to argue with a meme. Oftentimes such memes or narratives get uncritically picked up and passed along.
The thing about social media is that there is no moderating influence. Things go viral, whether they're true or not. Cynical actors can exploit, and even create and magnify the effect.

I'm merely asserting that the solution of preventing such by controlling things more
would be far worse as a solution than the original problem, imho.

They are already scheduling the Draconian control of the net. So, ultimately, it is a moot issue with their 'final solution' already mapped out.

I am not advocating for action on the part of Government. Not at all.
But for us to not be aware of the potential for everything from SWATting, to false accounts which create an online persona we have no connection with until the raid team/police/Alphabet soup of agencies show up, bank accounts are siezed, etc, or groups of aggrieved citizens show up to demonstrate their displeasure or wrath upon their target, be that through false representation by another as you or the assertion by people who are opposed to you, your business, your politics, (or for any of a host of possible motivations), wish you harm.
The potential is there. Mere rumors can take days to quash, even with willing help. Some just won't go away, but that is no different from the backyard fence and wagging tongues and flapping lips of old, just far, far faster and much better distributed.
To ignore that potential is folly. To regulate it beyond making those who act illegally or those who falsely incite such actions accountable is wrong, too.

I'm certainly NOT suggesting folks remain unaware of the hazards and risks.
I'm merely noting, that, imho, "curing" such problems by government rule, law, regulation and/or policing would end up far worse than the problem.
And, in general, I'm NOT supportive of endlessly coming up with the umpteen hundredths law to further shove the citizens into tighter and tighter straight-jackets. We have plenty of laws on the books already.

However, the title of the video – “Portland anti-Trump rioters attack pregnant woman with a baseball bat” doesn’t match the news report video posted nor any of the reports on the incident that I could find.
Was her vehicle blocked? Yes.
Did someone smash her windshield? Yes.
And both are inexcusable.
Did a “couple” of the protestors appear to try to help her and diffuse the situation? Yes.
Did anyone hit her with a baseball bat? No.
Was she pregnant? Unknown.
The reporter says the female driver, who was obviously shaken and very upset and understandably so, said she was in an emergency but nowhere could I find that she said or that the reporter said that she was pregnant.
So why is that the title of the YouTube video? More sensational to get more clicks for the YouTube vid?
I’m sure I will see this posted elsewhere with the headline “BREAKING!!!! PREGNANT WOMAN BRUTALLY BEATEN DURING SOROS RIOT FOR HAVING A MAGA BUMPER STICKER!!!!!
