Biden, 77, staked his candidacy less on any distinctive political ideology than on galvanizing a broad coalition of voters around the notion that Trump posed an existential threat to American democracy. The strategy proved effective, resulting in pivotal victories in Michigan and Wisconsin as well as Pennsylvania, onetime Democratic bastions that had flipped to Trump in 2016.

I agree we need a break. But we are now in the battle of our lives in a few weeks. What happens December 1st in the 2 GA senatorial runoff races will have serious implications. I am guessing we win AK, which means the makeup up of the senate going into the runoff will be 50R-48D. But if we lose both of those seats... 50-50, with Schumer as Majority Leader.

1. The media do not declare who’s president-elect. There’s a constitutional and statutory process. Gore litigated for 37 days. Clearly the media want this ended today.
2. And this is also intended to pressure the Supreme Court justices and other courts where there is pending litigation and will be litigation. We don’t know who’s President-Elect yet. The media at least have an obligation to explain this but won’t.

Unless the courts and the judges actually hear the lawsuits, then they are frivolous and this victory isn't theatrical. It is reality. Absolutely this has been calculated since the day Hillary lost. Sorry folks, but Trump never went after Hillary, he didn't lock her up, he appointed Sessions, surrounded himself with many other idiots and his last poor appointment who IMHO cost him re-election was Barr. We cannot forget that Trump also selected Ronna. She's been awfully quiet through this entire farce of an election.
No one on the GOP side, nor the RNC did a damn thing to ensure a fair election. The DEMS gave a trial run what they had planned during the mid terms and came close to victory, especially in FL. DeSantis won by less than 1% and the courts decided. Even with the warning shot from the DEMS that was made very clear two years ago, NOTHING was done by the right. How in the heck did the GOP and the RNC not see this coming? They did. They are just as corrupt. Romney's niece in charge should have been the first clue. Once again though, she was Trump's selection.
We've lost the Senate as well and gained a few seats in the House.

First: The "victory" is certainly not "real." We've discussed this at length on TBR.
Second: Where did you hear we lost the Senate? First I've heard of that. Even if by some fluke that comes to pass, there are nowhere nearly enough votes in the Senate to convict. The threshold is 67 votes, not 51.
I think your reasoning is otherwise sound, this was made possible by Trump's reneging on his promise to "lock her up." I'd add that the House is better than it looks at first blush. When Pelosi Impeached Trump, she had 17 votes to spare and could afford to lose a dozen votes and still win the battle. Now, her margin is about two votes. She's not going to get the stuff the AOC bunch is demanding, and not enough votes to pack the SCOTUS. She'll keep her Speakership, but that's about it.

I think we'll win both of those, but it's important to remember their seats will be empty for the first week or so of the Session. I suppose technically Schumer could crown himself "Majority Leader" for that week, and he'll cause a lot of trouble in that period.

I am not a financial advisor, and would hate to give you advise that didn't pan out. Every person's situaton is different. Don't forget if you cash out, you will likely be paying premium on capital gains if if throws you up a tax bracket. And if its from IRA's or 401 K's there's the age 59 1/2 restriction, and what is pulled out is taxed fully as income. Again does that extra income move you to a higher bracket?
But IMO, if you are shifting out of equities, of what I have shifted this is what I have done:
* 1/3- Cash.
* 1/3 mix of a 75/25 precious metals (silver/gold). Along with barter of goods and services, this may be the next currency.
* 1/3 income producing real estate that isn't rental property. Farmland is an example. Plats of timber that can rotated and harversted is another.
The sheeple who voted for Biden don't realize that nationwide lockdown Part 2, will absolutely crush this economy.
Scenario 1- Biden throws 10's of trillions of dollars in aid. China/Others liquidate US Bonds, Dollar is stripped of status of reference currency. Massive hperinflation insues.
Scenario 2- With some fiscal restraint, demand for goods and services crashes due to spiraling unemployment . Think 1929-1939 on 'roids.
Scenario 3- The mask and ruse comes off this pandemic crisis, things get back to some normalcy,(or effective vaccine) and we live in a dead in the water stagflatted Obama like economy that will start a downward slide as Biden dismantles the oil industry.
I have done this for disaster reserves to address both the hyperinflationary or crash scenarios. And honesty, I can't tell you which one is more likely. Also don't forget, if GOP can hold the senate, a lot of this short term doom and gloom many be premature.

Another example: Switching a "O" to a "0." That will identify a ballot with "Donald J Trump," "Dona1d J Trump." It sees it as a mismatch and throws out the Trump vote.

Another example: Switching a "O" to a "0." That will identify a ballot with "Donald J Trump," "Dona1d J Trump." It sees it as a mismatch and throws out the Trump vote.
The correct paper ballot still exists, and will go back to being a Trump vote after the software is fixed and the ballots are recounted. And they will be.

The Secretaries of State for the states, or a designated Agency, like a Bureau of Elections. And yes, the states would be on the tab for the cost.

Look, my point is the SS is to protect the President from ALL threats. That is a much larger scope than bullets, bombs and knives. There's poison, and biological agents to watch for, and even a naked person is rightly considered a threat if they are in the White House unauthorized.

Dr. Coomer’s statement brings to light a very serious issue all voters should understand. Voting systems must be re-certified each time they make changes to the hardware or software. Recertification is an expensive and time consuming process. What Dr. Coomer told the Board is that Dominion Voting does not go back for recertification of software when threats to their code are discovered. Rather, they rely on post-election audits and providing advice to election jurisdictions about security. I have reviewed all of the recertification documents produced by Dominion, and I do not recall any software adjustments for security purposes.
This is the reality of the security of your vote. Software systems that count and record the vote across Illinois and throughout the USA are not updated to address security problems, and even if they were, the software can be completely bypassed by going to the data tables that drive the systems.
