From:  http://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,391221.0.html (http://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,391221.0.html)

Who will win California? Someone from out there told me, they've seen a number of Bloomberg signs but I don't see him winning there really.

Operation Chaos?? Seems like that would be quite a bit of trouble to go in and vote for someone in the opposition.

I'm glad I don't vote yet, I figured I'd be voting for Sanders but if Bloomberg and Biden split evenly it could give Sanders too big a lead. Much as I despise Warren, I'd like to see her survive another week or two.

Dick Van Dyke Hams It Up At Bernie Sanders Rally, Crowd Chants ‘We Love Dick’

The legendary actor sang how much he loves the Democratic candidate at a rally in Los Angeles.

By Jenna Amatulli

Dick Van Dyke took the stage at a rally for Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders over the weekend, hamming it up for a crowd that at one point broke into a chant of “We love Dick!”

Alongside performances by Public Enemy and comedian Sarah Silverman, Van Dyke spoke in support of the Vermont senator on Sunday, two days before the crucial Super Tuesday primaries when 14 states vote.

It's almost surreal - there were several polls over the last year showing how thrilled dem voters are with the "diverse" gaggle of candidates they had to choose from. I wonder what those polls would show now? It was supposed to be the strongest field of candidates ever assembled, now all dem voters can do is try to guess which geezer has the best chance of staggering through the next 8 months without keeling over.

I voted this morning (I like to vote on voting day) and there was a pretty large line. Since I'm a curious person I drove over to the Dem voting place. No line. I found it odd since there is more at stake for them than there is for the Pubs. I just found it interesting....maybe the lines will increase later in the day? This is a largely Pub county if that makes a difference.

I worked as a poll worker for 4 years. This will be my fifth. I still don’t understand how news agencies call elections several minutes after polls close when we have to close out the machines and do counts and that can take anywhere from 20 minutes on a slow day to way over an hour on the Clinton Trump 2016 election. And we were just counting some 3200 ballots!

Biden winning these landslides with little money, field offices and "ground game"--disputing all the usual cliches.

@mystery-ak

NOT because his message is popular with the voters, but because his opponents suck all the air right off the planet.

It's like you are picking a park B Ball team. Who you gonna pick first, the 7 foot tall blind guy,the 7 foot tall guy with cebral palsy,or the 5 foot tall guy that is is healthy and can see good?

Virginia is disappointing to @MikeBloomberg, but North Carolina is far more ominous. Not only did Bloomberg spend more than $17 million in NC on ads, the campaign built a robust field team, designed to turn out the early vote. “This isn’t going as planned,” an adviser tells me.

You listen to 2016 Bernie compared to 2020 Bernie, and it's easy to see why. 2016 Bernie was welfare-state liberalism. 2020 Bernie is flat-out communism.

Plus, Bernie does not have the benefit of having Hillary Clinton as his foil this time around.

The billionaire ex-Big Apple mayor will reassess his mega-bucks campaign after a brutal showing in Super Tuesday races, his first appearance on the ballot, according to multiple reports.

Despite dropping a staggering $500 million of his vast personal fortune on the race, Bloomberg, 78, barely rated at the polling booths in early Super Tuesday states — only clinching victory in the tiny US territory of American Samoa.

Bloomberg and Kasich will announce a Third-Party Run.

I don’t think so. Bloomberg said he wants to use his money to defeat Donald. Pending a miracle or a brokered convention he can’t win. So he’ll have to use his money to support either Biden or Bernie, or make an official announcement about Hillary or who will be his runnning mate.

Now if history serves me correctly, in 68 Nixon won against Humphrey with Wallace as the third party. I don’t recall if Wallace helped or hindered Nixon.

In 1980 Reagan won over Carter with John Anderson as the third party person. I can tell you I know people in real life both parties who voted for Anderson, so I’m not sure if he took major votes away from either party.

The only other third person I can recall in my lifetime is in 1992, Clinton Bush Perot. According to Wikipedia, Perot got 18.9% of the popular vote. If it had been a two person race, would Bush have been a two term president? Would Clinton never had been?

This is my gut why Bloomberg won’t run as a third party for president. Because of Perot. He could take votes away from Trump, and he could take votes away from the Democrats. Huge risk. My gut is telling me Trump will be a two term president.

Broomfield talked of a brokered convention but it looks like former 4th place candidate Biden can almost walk it. We'll see what the Bernie camp has to say.

I've got to say again, he came in late to the game. Even Amy probably got a lot of national exposure in the debates.

The campaign seems a bit ill-conceived to me, he came in late. He and others, probably thought the timing was right but it seems to be a misjudgement.

Republican Pierce Bush, a grandson of former President George H.W. Bush, failed to advance out of Tuesday's primary in his bid for a Houston congressional seat, becoming the first member of his family to lose a race in Texas in more than 40 years.

Aside from the recognition of coming from America's most enduring Republican dynasty, Bush 34, was endorsed by the outgoing GOP incumbent, Rep. Pete Olson and raised more money than many of the other 14 candidates in the field.

Maybe that was some part of why Mr. Bush lost.  Perhaps people don't want a dynasty.

Kinda sad, since I was reading that before this election, Mr. Bush was already being touted as a future president.

Well, I won't have anybody who would represent me on November's ballot for the House or State Senate. As usual. OTOH, there is an R who will be on the November ballot for State Assembly, though I doubt he'll get as much as 40% of the vote. 'Sokay, I haven't been represented in Congress or Sacto in decades. Hopefully Anna Eshoo will be among the minority in the House come 2021.

The fauxny Proposition 13, which would have authorized school districts to load up on bond debt is getting crushed, ~56% No to ~44% Yes. This was a pleasant surprise, that the For the Children ploy didn't work. OTOH, a parcel tax for my high school district won, 57%-43%, sighhhhh ......... this "cow" is tired of being milked.

FWIW, the Never-Trumper "candidates" got ~7.4% of the R Presidential vote.

Bloomberg may technically drop out of the raise but there is nothing saying that he can't buy air time and run anti-Trump ads.  They don't have to be Bloomers ads.

Mike Bloomberg Drops Out of 2020 Race, Endorses Biden

Quote
Money can’t buy you happiness, love or class, but billionaire Michael Bloomberg made a $600 million bet that it could buy him the Oval Office.

On Wednesday, the former New York City mayor officially lost that wager, suspending his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination after Super Tuesday primary voters recoiled from the idea of casting their ballots for a candidate who argued that his functionally unlimited resources and business acumen outweighed deep concerns among Democrats about trading one boorish Manhattan plutocrat in the White House for another.

*I* wonder h ow many Dims are voting for Bernie so they can watch socialism get crushed in November? Don't forget, there are still a large chunk of traditional Dim voters who consider themselves to be patriotic traditional Americans who vote Dim to "keep the globalists out of 'murika!". These people grew up in Dim families and have been voting dim for 5 or more decades, and like the dunderhead union workers,STILL think the Dim Party still stands for traditional America.

Granted, these brainwashed fools are dying off at a pretty rapid rate these days and once they have passed the Dim Party can go ahead and just raise the red and yellow hammer and sickle flag for their voters to rally around, but we ain't there yet.

...hmm... the ole faulty, malfunctioning voting machine trick ....who would have guessed?

@libertybele

Well, the Dims keep doing this over and over because it works. They can keep stalling until they find out how many votes they need to win,and MAGICALLY,they mange to find those votes once they "fix" (As in "manipulate" ) the machines.

Stalling the vote doesn't mean diddly squat to the paid homeless people laying on the sidewalk because they would be laying on a sidewalk someone else if they weren't there, and laying on THAT sidewalk while waiting to vote means they will pull in enough money to stay high for a couple of days.

Meanwhile, the people with jobs, families, house payments, grocery bills, kids in school to pick up,etc, etc, etc, have other things to do with their time than stand in line all day watching their fellow voters pop a squat or nod off,so they leave without voting.

I do not ascribe to this being about people being necessarily enthusiastic about Trump.

For the most part,  local and statewide offices are decided at the primary box.

People show up to vote for city council, state legislators or constables.

If one wants to have a sayso in that, one shows up to vote in primary, and DT's name happens to also be there.

The $20 is for "per vote cast for Beto" not per Total population of Texas.

#RiggedPrimary And #RiggedDNC Trends On Twitter After Super Tuesday

Justin Caruso
Contributor
March 04, 2020 11:19 AM ET

Twitter was full of life Wednesday morning following Super Tuesday as the hashtag #RiggedPrimary trended nationwide.

#RiggedPrimary trended Wednesday morning after Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ momentum was severely blunted after former Vice President Joe Biden won more states and took the lead in the projected delegate count on Super Tuesday.

Further complicating things for Sanders was the string of endorsements Biden recently won from the “moderate” lane of the Democratic Party, including former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Biden’s latest endorsement comes from billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who dropped out and announced his support for Biden on Wednesday morning.

Coffee has a health advantage over Red Bull when other chemicals are considered.

First, black coffee has no sugar. In a single 8.4-ounce can of Red Bull, there is 27 grams of sugar. The negative effects of excessive sugar have been widely documented.

Second, coffee contains many antioxidants that Red Bull doesn’t have. There are over 1,000 compounds in coffee, a number of which are antioxidants. Red Bull also has many chemicals in it, but it lacks many of these antioxidants.
