The move follows a statement made by Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas who welcomed migrants legally authorized to work in the U.S. to fill open jobs in the area.

I don't have a problem with immigrants "legally authorized to work".  But that clearly does not include those entering the country illegally and without legal work visas.

A minimum wage simply sets a barrier to the job market entry. You have to be able to produce more than you're being paid or you won't have a job. Young people starting out with no skills have to start somewhere. No job delays that start which causes numerous negative issues over time. And as the expense barrier increases there are strong incentives for the employers to come up with other ways to get the job done using fewer people and/or people that already have some basic skills.

So we import illegals, most of which know how to work, to do what jobs remain.

Government interference in the market distorts the market only increasing costs while lowering efficiency. The more that is piled on the more bogged down everything becomes. And the poorer as a nation we become.

Only if it's set too high.  $15/hour is too high; $7.50/hour is not.

You're probably right...but says more about her selfishness than her concern for the path the country has taken.

You could say that about 98% of Congress members.

I think the anger from what Trump said about Bush and her dad regarding Iraq drove her down that road. She wasn't interested in any truth, only vengence.

Or, she's blackmailed and compromised.

Hopefully, one of the lawyers arguing before them is offering a strong case of entrapment.  Because that is exactly what this case is.  Entrapment.  Fully premeditated.

Agreed...and then I see how these college drones can't even explain why or what they're protesting and realize the trouble this country is in.

Because they've been spooned the old collectivist oppressor/oppressed dogma that the world is a terrible place, and want to be that edgy and supercool persona while 'making a difference' and 'changing the world'.

They don't realize that they're just recycling the same old Marxist agitation and deconstruction strategy of revolution since the 60's as they willingly play the useful idiots.

If I have one big complaint against Gen Z, they are overconfident with little to no resume, and tend to be legends in their own minds thinking they are on the cutting edge doing things that have never been done, that have been done many times over because they have zero knowledge of history.

Participation awards were very destructive...
