VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE FOR 24 :patriot: :beer:HOURS ONLY!
-
Pence or Newt. Hopefully not Newt.
-
I'm the "Other." I still like Scott Walker.
-
I heard Newt on Greta recently. To my ears, he telegraphed he expected to be the pick. I went with Newt.
-
Logic for any normal candidate would say Pence or Newt, but we aren't dealing with a normal candidate for a normal election cycle- this is pop culture driven. I think it will either be Christie for his mouth, or someone completely out of left field no one has overtly speculated on yet (media, pop culture figure?)
-
Other: Bill Clinton
-
If only Trump had the time, he would clone himself and fill out the ticket.

Definitely! This is why I thought he'd pick Ivanka, until I read on this site he could not do so.
-
OTHER: Hillary Clinton........he did say he was thinking of a Democrat. What better way to finally get her in that office and he walk away.........mission accomplished.

LOL ~ Nothing is beyond the realms of possibility with the Donald!

I'd be happy with Newt closer to Trumps daily briefings etc. I think........though I'd be more than happy if he were VP as well.
I'm not sure Pence has a strong enough understanding of International dealing etc......I haven't checked on him far enough yet.
-
As I've said before, if elected I highly doubt Trump has the temperament to serve a full term. His life style will be ghetto compared to what he is used to and having the Secret Service controlling his every move will soon cause him to quit. I'd be a lot more comfortable with Newt succeeding him..

I think it's Pence because Pence will accept it if offered.
(But, I've been wrong once or twice before... :thud:)
-
That's a great picture @SquirrelCutter ....
-
I think it will be a huge unexpected surprise. Who? Kasich. I think they planned it way back when Kasich snookered Rubio and then Cruz, only to drop out immediately after Cruz.
You're going to get @Jazzhead all excited.
I think Kasich may think he has an agreement, but I'm not convinced it will be honored.

Sean Hannity wants Gingrich:
Sources: Sean Hannity flew Gingrich to Trump meeting
By Dana Bash and Dylan Byers, CNN
Updated 5:28 PM ET, Wed July 13, 2016
(CNN)Newt Gingrich, a finalist on Donald Trump's vice presidential shortlist, flew to Indianapolis to meet with Trump on a private jet provided by Fox News host Sean Hannity, two sources with knowledge of the situation told CNN.
The Fox News host flew the former House speaker to Indianapolis early Wednesday morning to meet with the presumptive Republican nominee as he holds late-stage meetings with his VP finalists, the sources said.
Both Hannity and a Fox News spokesperson replied to initial inquiries regarding the flight, but did not respond when asked if Hannity had paid for or arranged the flight. Gingrich did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Gingrich served as a paid Fox News contributor until Tuesday night, when the network suspended ties with him "due to the intense media speculation" about his "potential selection as Donald Trump's vice presidential candidate."...

From what little I know of her, I like her. Speaks well, nimble in thought, it seems to me.

It won't surprise me at all, if he picks someone NOT on the list of five being talked about in the media.
Or it won't surprise me if he does pick from the list.
-
Miss July
Miss July of What year .... 2025? Picking His VP and his next wife.
-
Other: Bill Clinton
I'm sure it has crossed Donny's mind...and someone had to probably point out that it would create a Constitutional dilemma.

Bernie Sanders to bring in the disaffected Democrat vote.

What was it people said about Ross Perot? That his wife would have trouble moving into a smaller house in a bad neighborhood?
-
Miss July 2025 would be about 9 years old right now. lol
-
He'll pick Bernie Sanders (S) as he has already been attacking Killary, and they agree on so many policy positions.
-

Not to worry, his hotel on Penn Ave is almost finished. I am sure he will have a lavish pentbouse there :patriot:

well if we gotta go with the Donald I'd like a conservative as VEEP....Sessions would be my choice
-

Yes, that is the kind of humor that evokes a smile regardless of your position. Well played.
-
I voted "Other" since "Couldn't Care Less" wasn't a choice.

See... She will be the perfect age for Trump Wife #6.

Kasich brings more than most realize. During the primaries, Kasich was the only candidate who consistently beat Hillary in almost every poll. He has both leadership and legislative experience as Chairman of the House Budget Committee and served on the Armed Services Committee. He knows his way around the Beltway and has demonstrated an ability to sit down with the other side when necessary. Most of all, he brings Ohio with him. Trump could do much worse with some of those popular here on this forum.
-
Based on the just released speaker list, it looks like it is going to be Newt.

Other. It's a tossup between Honey Boo Boo and Spongebob Squarepants.

John Kasich's reputation is that of being prickly to work with—comes into a meeting room full of friends and leaves with a room full of enemies.
Trump's family may hold sway this time, Mr. Trump will select governor Pence.
-
Miss JulI
Isn't that his wife?
I'm for anyone but Christie. The only good thing he's doing to my states economy is visiting restaurants.

Technicolor, man!
Nice catch! :) 0005 :broc:

I agree totally. He is extremely well-versed in the legislative process. A skill that will be needed. Ohio always teeters on the knife's edge. Kasich could be the difference.

Prickly does describe him, but along with enemies, at the end, he leaves with successes. I don't know if Pence fits in with Trump's personality, though I guess we'll find out. One thing's for sure, Pence won't overshadow Trump.
-
He can't pick Pence. I chose Newt in this poll. If he chose Pence that would make me...
incorrect.

Paul Ryan approves of the Pence pick. Says they are good friends.
-
Who will Trump pick?
Who cares, it will still be Trump Trump Trump, like an old Brady Bunch rerun with Marsha Marsha Marsha.
Trump doesn't share power, his oval office would just be filled with mirrors anyway, with a little passage way at the far end to retrieve his lapdog when needed as a yes man.
