JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump used the word "rape" on Wednesday when discussing past allegations of sexual misconduct involving former President Bill Clinton, further escalating his rhetoric on the subject.
In an interview with Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity, Trump was answering questions about an unflattering story published this past weekend by The New York Times involving his relationships with women when he turned his attention to Bill Clinton.
"By the way, you know, it's not like the worst things, OK," Trump said. "You look at what Clinton's gone through with all of the problems and all of the things that he's done."
Hannity went on to question whether the newspaper would interview women including Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey. All three have accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct.
"In one case, it's about exposure. In another case, it's about groping and fondling and touching against a woman's will," Hannity said.
"And rape," Trump responded.
"And rape," Hannity repeated.

I have absolutely no respect for this man. He doesn't need proof and he knows it. The story has been in the press for more than 20 years. It's like he got together with the media and figured out what would draw the most attention. Juanita won. IMO, DT cannot be trusted and it's things like this that prove it.

Odds are he doesn't. Trump just throws stuff against the wall, like the silly accusations of Cruz's adulteries. No proof is needed. In the case of Broddrick, it's her word against Clinton's.
Besides, Bill Clinton is not running for president. Should Melania's porn shots be spread all over social media too?

What proof? Do you think that if any of Bill Clinton's victims had believed he raped them they wouldn't have come forward by now? Rape is a meaningless term to Trump. It's something to score political points with. If he had any idea, much less any concern, for women who had been raped and what they go through then he wouldn't be tossing it around so lightly.

I find this another repulsive statement by Trump. Once again, Trump makes it very clear that he cannot win on the issues; he can only win by smearing the opponent by either false accusations or on something that will never be quite proven. Once again, he's not going after Hillary; he's going after her husband. When the truth about his wife posing nude came out, he was furious. The truth is the truth; except if your Donald J. Trump.
I am not by any means sticking up for Slick Willy, but Trump has turned this into an election using personal attacks to cover up his lack of knowledge on any important issue. He has made degrading comments towards Fiorina and Kelley, Rubio's sweating, Cruz's citizenship, Cruz's father and his place in the assassination of JFK, Carson as a pedophile, and Bill Clinton as a rapist.
When Trump does make a statement on an issue; he quickly reverses course.

That is one of the things I like about Donald Trump. He knows how to fight. Yes, when your opponents Husband is a serial rapist, you should use the word "rape", even if all the people who cover politics don't like the word to describe their hero.
And the word "LIAR" should also be included, and we should have used the word "LIAR" every time we referred to Obama.
This is how you fight. You repeat and repeat and repeat derogatory claims about your opponents and their allies. You do not act like a "gentleman" you try to verbally destroy them at every opportunity.
Yes, Bill Clinton is a rapist, and at least Donald Trump has the guts to stick that Bastard with one of the labels he has earned.

Donald Trump is doing this exactly right. There is sufficient evidence out there that the accusation will stick, and so therefore the accusation needs to be made and repeated every time the topic comes up.
It's Goebbels methodology, but it does work. And the greasy snake known as Bill Clinton deserve it and much much worse besides.

What people aren't grasping is that it doesn't matter *what* Hitlery tries, she is going to get stomped in the mud. They are now in a fight with a man who isn't a Pansy. Unlike Romney and McCain, Trump knows how to fight down and dirty in the manner Democrats have always used.

You and I both know that was just a schtick to endear himself to a subset of conservatives before launching his Presidential run.
I am a "birther" and I saw Trump's commentary on the issue several years ago, as an attempt to line up support for a Presidential run. I never took him seriously, I realized what he was doing when he was doing it.
But this little tactic worked for him. It did garner him support, and he did force Obama to produce a photoshopped (for lack of a better term) document.
