Editorial/Opinion/Blogs / Re: How popular is the AR-15?
« Last post by Maj. Bill Martin on Today at 07:34:42 pm »
I have to wonder at the estimates for AR platform rifles in America, does their number come from completely assembled rifles sold by FFL's only? Because if it doesn't include any in that number that are from 'parts', like pre ban or 80% lowers, uppers completed or not and parts kits to assemble a complete rifle then they are waaay underestimating the numbers.

I'm guessing they just count lowers -- either in complete rifles or on their own.  It's really the only way to know.

The lower the perceived individual risk, the more willing an individual is to engage in risky behaviour.

Despite crumple zones, air bags, seat belts, etc. which nearly guarantee walking away from a mid energy collision, people still manage to die at a phenomenal rate on the nations highways, driving in a manner which would have been considered patently insane in the days of steel dashboards and unrestrained occupants.

Now, apply that principle to warfare...with more destructive devices than ever, short of nukes, and even those might be more likely to be unleashed against a non-human target.

He's actually speaking truth there.

And as I've said elsewhere, members of Congress are underpaid.

'Trump is f—d,' Stormy Daniels' lawyer texted Enquirer editor after 'Access Hollywood' tape emerged
By Ben Kochman

After news broke in October 2016 of Donald Trump bragging on a hot mic about grabbing women by their genitals, Stormy Daniels' lawyer texted "Trump is f—d" to the editor of the National Enquirer, trial evidence released Tuesday shows.

“Wave the white flag. It's over people!” responded the Enquirer's editor, Dylan Howard, evidence shows.

But Daniels' attorney, Keith Davidson, noted in another text that things "could get a lot worse" for Trump if Daniels went public right before the 2016 election with her claim about having a one-night affair with the married real estate mogul, he testified.

:bkmk:  I'm not voting for Trump anyways, but Noem would have been a consideration for me to vote for him.

Why doesn't MTG just amend her motion to be privileged, and force an actual vote?  Or is her purpose more to stay in the headlines with her motion rather have the actual vote?

What bullshit.  There were coral reefs during the Miocene and Pliocene, when the global mean temperature was higher than now, and in the Miocene, when co2 concentrations were higher too.
You haven't even mentioned the benthic bioherms of the Paleozoic...

City folks...

Seriously....

Lost in all this is the part of her statement where she said the dog was running around killing chickens.  So I suppose all these folks in favor of saving the dog didn't care that it was killing chickens for fun?

I have to say that prior to this statement, I thought she might be a bit of a poser.  Turns out she's the real deal, and it makes me like her more.

Details count, especially little things in complex systems!

For want of a nail, the shoe was lost,
For want of a shoe, the horse was lost,
For want of a horse, the battle was lost,
With the battle, the kingdom was lost...
