A representative for the Hilton hotel at The Harbor also stated strong opposition and cited negative economic impacts from the similar law in North Carolina.
Equality Texas Chairman Steve Rudner said his group will fight all such ordinances. Lufkin, he said, is also considering action.
“The underlying assumption here is that something new is happening and children are at risk. In fact, there is nothing new happening,” he said. “There hasn’t been any problem in a bathroom in Rockwall. There is no news here.
“The only thing new is that someone is trying to pick on a marginalized group of people and make their lives more miserable.”

Most businesses are not going to adopt the open bathroom policy, so this is a solution without a problem. Those who don't like Target's policy should probably shop elsewhere.
