Same here.  Very specific and unique smell.  Wonder what percent of caps were used in guns?.  Most of mine met their fate with a rock or hammer.

I doubt the docs were planted, but sloppiness/incompetence wouldn't surprise me in the least.   The on-scene junior lawyers likely handled documents as they would in most cases without fully comprehending why things like preserving the order of the documents would be so critical in a classified documents case.

That still leaves the question of why that error was not disclosed sooner, however.

... in the meantime I'll "investigate" the wax in my ears with a Q-tip.

Because of inflation, "investigations" and "impeachments" have lost their value.  Scarcity creates value.  Impeaching and investigating everyone all the time only cheapens investigations and impeachments.
